I know that some of you are hurt, disappointed and upset about the termination of the co-ops froum.
This thread however, is NOT for complaining, this thread is for CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions/ideas on how to still do group buys with our DG family and any questions you may have that admin can answer. I was thinking that since they were getting tar and featherd in the other thread, that if we were trying to find alternative resolutions to this, then they may actually peep over here and answer some ?? that have been posed in the other thread but overlooked.
So Dave, Terry & Melody, we welcome you here, your clarification, any help you can offer and answers to our questions.
Suggestions/Ideas for group buys with our DG family
I know I have gotten several Dmails with people wanting to know if I find and alternative-makes me feel good that peeps enjoyed my co-ops enough to want to be alerted of any other way to do group buys. I did have several ?? that weren't answered a few suggestions too, so I thought maybe if I started this thread we could get someplace instead of butting our heads against the wall.
One ?? I had was can I post in my existing co-op that anyone who wants to be alerted of future ones, to please dmail me their email address-is that within the rules??
I only got in one of your co ops, Stacey... and I enjoyed it very much.
Although, I did buy more than I had intended to... but that wasn't your fault...
I'll be anxious to see all the alternatives ppl come up with, because I was really looking forward to doing more co ops later on.
Me too-that is why I thought instead of being all po'd about it, lets just try to find other ways and ideas from the masses are the best way to come about that:)
That's what makes you such a good manager...
Stacey,
I would be happy to share my email address and whatever else needed to participate in a coop. I've been in several and experienced no problems and had great deals. I guess it will have to be run independently from DG. There has to be some protection for the people running the co-op as well as the ones participating. You may have to deal with just people you know unless you factor in a risk percentage of people who bail out after they place the order. From participating in the coops I already have a good feel about who to place an order from experience. I don't think I would participate in one if I didn't know who the person is.
The wonderful thing about the co-ops is the shipping costs - no one marked anything up and everyone did their best to keep the shipping costs down. I felt that everyone was in the co-op together and if we can keep that going, it would be wonderful.

Rose-to combine the 2 threads, we are going to move over here:

just wanted to add a note that I'm sorry about the cross-posting... next time I'll post before starting a new/continuation thread so we don't duplicate our efforts! Thanks!
