۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞ 53
Some of the girls sent me a sock or slipper, for my surgery foot, to help it heal better. So Cindy made a beautiful display board for them all.
Audrey, yes, sweetie. You can still do it.
And Linda K, when did the doctor say your other foot would go under the turkey carver? Ouch, sistah I don't you are ready to get these tooties healed so you can walk without pain.
OH! OK!
Next on is 21 November..
The doc said I should be able to do a happy dance by new years!!!
LK
Audrey the day I sent the dmail on Sept. 6th, you replied you just walked in and was very tired.
That's understandable how it could have escaped your mind :D
I remember, now, I'd just got out of the hospital, I think!
We will always return to food here :D
Kim, that looks scrumptious!! My breakfast at my work place included what you made but the cafeteria cooks lined the tins with biscuits! Sometimes they put in cooked breakfast sausage besides the bacon...I love them.
SABAN!
i am on the floor laughing
SHABANG - I got it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is that how you spell it
I'm laughing too. Kim, Saban is the coach for the 10 & 0 Alabama team that Kathy is so graciously rubbing in to our Mama Sister Jaye! Roll Tide! Geaqux Tigers Go Dawgs RUFF RUFF
ROLLLLLL TIDE!!!!!!!
Not you too Audrey.. Deborah!!
Sis Kathy 'humiliated' me over the phone, and now she got Kel saying the "S" word!!! There are enough Judas here!!
Audrey, Tenn's coach resigned before getting the boot. He cried at the press conference. I cried too. I was sad for him and his family. He'll get another great job though somewhere. Eventhough he's been our worse adversary for so many years, having one bad year and those fans and admin. want to get rid of him. I so loved to dislike that man. Now all the fun is gone! Wants a fan to do?
LOL-you gals are a hoot!!!!
Kim-those look DELICIOUS-makes my cinnamon strusel muffins look like dog food!!
I used to live in Birmingham, and I like Bama's colors better than Auburn!
Looks like ALL our fun is being taken away!
I really don't keep up with sports! LOL ^_^ I'm just pickin'!
Oh they of little faith.. huh Deborah when it comes to firing coaches for wanting instant wins?
College football is BIG BUCKS now!!!!
My poor tigers were meowing last night :********(

Roger Miller, you dont remember, King of the Road, Green Green Grass of Home and many more before your time!
Who what and where?? Were they before like 1983-84?? Those are some of my earliest memory-wasn't born til 76.........
He made it big as a country novelty song singer and writer in the 60's.
One of his weird ones was "My uncle used to love me but she died"

From Georgia, Ray Stevens maybe? He has some doseys
YES That's him!!! You got it Deborah!!!
We have a Georgia Music hall of fame in Macon Georgia. It's amazing at the number of song writers and singers that are from Georgia. I was telling Judy on the phone last night about my son helped out a group of guys that ran out of gas in their ski jet at the lake here. That was back when Scott was 16 or so. Judy, I asked Scott about who that was, I couldn't remember. It was the band Creed, Scott Staff was the lead singer that called and talked with Larry who was very protective of my Scott and gave the caller the 100 question drill. When my Scott found out who had called, he said, "daddy, no way you talked to him like that!" Do you know he's to me like Elvis Presley is to you! They were at their manager's house who lives at the lake here. Sad that band broke up. They sang anti-drug messages. The manager, Mr Hair is also manager of Bon Jovi, as I understand it.
Judy I told you they were visiting granparents, that was wrong, it was the manager's home they were visiting.
ROFL!!!
I love Creed. This old sistah went to the concert when they promoted "My Own Prison". They were originally Christian rock group.. when I went to the concert, some audience don't understand why he kept looking upwards then there's a whole block of young teens with Jesus t-shirt.. that WAS COOL!!!
Yep! I loved them too! I didn't know they started out as a Christian rock group but I did know their messages were always about 'goodness",. They were out of Tallahassee Fla.
The first Creed concert costs me 15, then the second one was 25. Those were the days.
I rememer Roger Miller, Marty Robbin, Eddie Arnold I grew up listening to that. Then there was Rock and Roll. My brother is 6 years older than me so I heard all those songs too.
I crack up at you women that like football, I hate it that and basketball yuk. I'm a NASCAR fan yep Jimmie Johnson's my guy
Just got back from IHOP, yum yum, I'm so stuffed I can hardly breath. Gotta run to Wal-Mart for some business cards bbl
Tinky, you really are the juvie--not heard of Roger Miller? Never heard "King of the Road"?
Who in the group saw Elvis? I remember someone posting but my eyes were getting heavy and the brain had already gone. I saw him when he was th opening act for Marty Robbins--just prior to Blue Suede Shoes. The people I was with went back stage to get Mary Robbins autograph and Elvis stepped on my foot. Nope, hasn't been washed since.
Now that old age has set in I am taken with the Ten Tenors, Il Divo, Andre Bochelli and of course, Neil Diamond. Real fuddy duddy.
Oh Kim, please a piece of the banana cake!! Oh my it looks so good--and the muffins!!! Tink what time will the roast be ready? Laura, pumpking cheesecake left? I am going to just eat myself around to everyone's home.
Kathy does this mean now that AL will be playing Florida? Deborah, I know how you feel about the coach situation. Isn't nearly as much fun since Spurrier has left FL.
BJ, what a bummer. I have done that before and most likely will again.
Tia, Tina Whatever, we are having pancakes and sausage tonight. Been craving them since you mentioned it the other day. Tonight, we have them!!!!
Oh Cindy, thanks!! A Christmas candle how very, very sweet. Linda Kay, guess we need to thank you also. If you hadn't had the surgery we never would have been able to send you A sock!!!!
Jaye, honey are you okay? Take 2 aspirin and call tomorrow. LOL
