Me here first hee hee

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Wellllllllllllllllllllllll... Alabama got our quarterback to give thanks to :(

Cindy you got a great set-up. I can never attempt making candles.. might burn the house down!

Sis Deborah, like Cindy suggests, you could do a butterfly business.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye skipped ahead on me while I posted this in the last room .......

Cindy what a fantastic work area!!!!
Deborah was asking about about our cards so I guess I can show a few pictures of our work room at moms where we do all of our rubber stamp and card making projects...

This is across from the entry door...that is most, not all of our rubber stamps...

I'm thinking that maybe Trisha has a Surious stamp thing going on there... sheesh... have you counted them lately?
I've priced those babies... they ain't cheap, either.

Deborah... I'm thinking you should be the butterfly lady too... but, you can't release them until you get to the wedding... ok?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Trisha are you sure you're not in store JK A Whole wall of Stamps... WOW

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

No Kidding..I have $ store stamps lol.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

ROLL TIDE!!!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

But, Deborah... I'm thinking that you could really get good at making the rag quilts... have you looked at what some of the baby quilts have been going for? Check this out...

Paper...............this is giving me fits loading pictures today

Between the two of us we have over 6000...........I used to work in a stamp store and teach classes..........guess where every spare penny, at employee cost, went???? And it is moms only hobby and addiction soooo..............

Mom in storage closet....the ribbon, glue guns, wire, stencils, misc. stuff.....paper punches on the left......

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh wow!! Trisha you could easily open a store that beats Wallyworld and Michael's with what you already have.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

We are addicts......I don't do as much stamping as I used to......I go over and make cards with mom a couple of times a week.....more if we have specific projects we are working on, but she makes cards almost every day......she has a couple of Real Estate ladies that buy about 200 cards a month from her......pays for some of her supplies and keeps her busy....

It takes too long to get pictures up here lately.....just started having problems so I don't know if it is Me or DG.......later in the week I will try and get the card stuff up on a Picasa album....a lot faster and easier to look at....

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

We do have more stuff than most of the stamp stores we go to....but you have to remember this has all been collected over a period of about 12 years!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It's DG, Trisha, I'm having problems only with this site.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I am glad to hear it...I haven't had this computer all that long and was hoping it wasn't me!! The nice thing with Picasa, besides it being FREE is you can get everything in one place, edit it all and then everyone can go through it as individual pictures or as a slide show....I have been having fun playing with it.....

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Trisha, I can do the same thing with my Kodak Easy Share! Isn't it great? I just got an update and I can now retouch photos!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

It is great.....I am not the greatest on the computer so sometimes I have to call Laura and ask questions....but between the two of us I usually manage to get it figured out... well if I don't get off of here I am going to be late for Church and that will never do as I am the usher for our Saturday night group, in addition to making the coffee and helping mom with refreshments after.....

most of you will be asleep by the time I get back on so have a restful night and I will talk to you for a bit after or ride tomorrow afternoon........so good nite all..

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I have wall to wall dust... you can call me a dust addict!!!

Seriously, I can imagine how easy it is to go overboard when it comes to hobbies. I am that way with my cloth stash.

A lot has praised Picasa, one day I might try it.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well Cindy, my ladybug is the 5th from the left side!! Such a clever idea for LK's sock!!!

Please tell me I wasn't looking at Michaels, Trisha!! What a collection--what fun to be turned lose in all the ribbons, glue guns, etc LOL I would definitely think you could have a cottage industry doing cards!!

Jaye, uh, uh, are you okay Sistah? Sure hope so. Did finally check out score--it was good.

Deborah, the butterfly release business is a good idea!! You should talk with Edith Smith about it--they do/did it for Hospice. I think they still do.

Me? Thank you I will just stay poor, happy and being Grandma!!! Riches enough the latter.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank Him for us...Trisha!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jaye, we could be the fabric stasher!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yah I'm okay Marion... until Sis Kathy comes around!!
As long as an SEC team gets into the BCS final.... so... Arkansas is out.. LSU.. adios... Dawgs.... uhum... our hopes lie in Florida and Alabama.
I still say that 'Bama needs to give Lee a big present for handing them the game!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Or the Fabric Slasher!!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, it's the end of the day... and I didn't get finished cutting out this quilt. UGH... still mitering corners... and I don't have enough fabric
Well, to rephrase that.. I don't have enough of the right colors/prints...
So, guess I have to look for some more... but, not tonight...
I'm wore out, do all quilts take this much prep work?
I mean... you gotta wash the fabric... then you gotta iron it.... then you gotta figure out which way to fold it to get the most squares/strips out of it... then, you gotta cut it ... sheesh... sure hope I still want it when it comes to sewing it all together... *sheepish grin*

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Got a problem here.....hopes lie with Alabama or Florida? Can I say roll tide!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Ah sounds like a normal chain of events doing a quilt BJ. Only one thing missing--a cat to keep curling up on it while trying to work!!! I do beleive it is some unwritten rule in catdom!!! Then they say, cats and quilts go together.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Hmmm... maybe I should get a cat then... huh?
Nope... Don wouldn't go for that.
Maybe a stuffed cat? I could sit him on my fabric once in a while just to bring me good luck... would that work?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

LOL oh no, I wouldn't bother getting either. I just happened to notice that a lot of pictures you see have cats on quilts, a lot of shops have them and from experience, every time I work on one, the cat curls up on it somewhere!!! You are fine as it, beleive me now Jaye might not agree.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

missed the switch over, yes I will take a slice of pie pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I can learn to say ROLL mpfmmpff!!

Yup, a lot of prep work BJ...but the outcome is worth it.

You must somehow try to adopt a kitty. Not the same ambiance with a stuffed one. Tell Don that's the quilters' good luck mascot!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

I can bring you a kitten in about 6-8 weeks
You will love it, wait them.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

ROFLOL, Jaye I have the same problem! After 35 years I could only get" GOOOOOO GA................ somehow I always lost my voice about there!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

OOps didn't mean to start something BJ. But cats and quilts go together for sure.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

ROFL!!! 35 years??? Give it up Marion!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I FOUND MINE-it is the first one on the R:) THe fairy of course-knew it as soon as I saw it what the purpose was-how cute!!!

Trisha-if you have any neat templates, I would LOVE them:)

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Tina... thanks... but one of the only few things that Don asks me to do is NOT to adopt a cat... we have a few "resident" cats in the neighborhood that we sort of all take care of... but that's where he draws the line...

Well, my back hurts from bending over the work table and cutting all these pieces out... so, I quit for tonight...

4am came way too early for me this morning, so, I think I'm calling it a night...

Nighty Night, BSF...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Me too, BJ. Eyes starting to blur really bad. Yawning so I think it is time to retire for the evening. Sleep well everyone.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sleep well BJ. Proud of you for attempting to eat something today. May you be pain free tomorrow.

Marion, I think Tina-Tia and her mum are the queen stashers here.

I'm gonna destress myself over this LOUSY game :*( with a few quilt magazines.

Good night my BEST SISTAHS and NIECES FOREVER!

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Ok, skimmed majorly, but I’m caught up; I will try not to get that far behind again.

So, People were talking about pie; DH’s birthday is tomorrow, so I’m making him a surprise pumpkin cheese cake, his favorite lunch, and Sage and I made a card. Wish I could do more, but that will have to wait till next week.

Marion, I agree, the verb clean is a dirty word.

Oh, I’m defiantly glad it’s coming, just wish it was more, but then don’t we all wish we could win the lottery?
