avocdgirl, if you want begonias, that place I go to all the time has giant ones in 6" pots for 6.00..............all kinds...............but they don't know the names of them.............they just love to grow..........would be happy to pick up some for you if you ever want them................

Ellerbe, NC(Zone 8a)

Thanks Gail, but I have too many already. LOL They've taken over the top shelf and are working on taking over the bottom. Think I might give all my big ones away in the spring and just keep the miniatures. That 'Harmony's Black Beauty' is a miniature. The mature plant is about as big around as a Semiminiature AV. Cute! I'll try to get a picture of the whole plant today. I've been potting all day. Just taking a break now and again to check in here. ^_^

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

No I am not! They may not be the prettiest ones but they are quickly taking over my house and home. I think it is called a true obsession..........not I think...........I know!

This Aloe Vera was on a shelf in a south facing window and decided to bloom. The stalk couldn't go up so it looks like a snake. WEIRD

Beautiful Jim!

(Zone 1)

Wow, really gorgeous! I love the color of the one called Fancy Pants!

... I think I need to move to a cooler climate so maybe I could keep Strep's alive!

Williston, ND

if you grow them on the bottom shelve and maybe in the same room as an air condioner

they might do good

JIM

(Zone 1)

Sometime next spring I might have to give one a try again. I just feel so bad ... I've killed more than I care to admit! ^_^

I do think, now that you mention it, someone suggested that I try them on a lower shelf ... my problem with that is two of my cats love to chew leaves of plants on the low shelves! Love our kitties ^-^ but sure wish they wouldn't eat my plants! I keep catnip growing most of the time to try and tempt them away from plants but one of them I have to watch like a hawk, she seems to sometimes think my plant stand is her own private salad bar.

Jim...It would be nice to see your wife's face as well as your beautiful plants. Right now she seems to be the headless plantwoman! ^_^

Good links..
I thought these doggie bouquets were the cutest and so creative. I received these photos in an email.

South, TX

I have seen the puppy bouquets and we talked about them and a few people made them on the cut flowers forum here at Daves. They are so cute!
