Sherrie that squirrel is awesome! can we see some of the other pictures that you have of it. The squirrels are the least destructive of the critters that I have here, the steal my plant tags and pull just a few things up. I'm not sure how well I would like them if they didn't have to compete with the other critters and had the run of the yard.

Victor.... So, do I still have the perfect weather? :-p

Thomaston, CT

Really awesome color in those photos, Victor! Jan & Karen--hope you are both feeling better. JoAnn---sorry about the tree--don't move the hostas--get another tree! Glad you got the bulbs planted. Cool Squirrel, Sherri--we have black ones, but no albinos--somewhere on the Delmarva Penninsula, they have 15 pounders---we saw one when we were at Chincoteague---couldn't figure out what it was! We have no acorns this fall---the squirrels are all over my bird feeder! Just had a female downy pecking on the shingles! Hope I scared her enough!

I was told by a neighbor over a year ago about Albino Squirrels in the neighborhood. About a month ago the same guy told me there was one dead up in the road. :-( I was coming back from the bank and saw a white thing " A SQUIRREL! Ran into the house got the camera and drove back up on the road. I parked crooked of course 1/2 in the road and went out quick.

Got it going across the neighbors lawn.

1st pic again. If you look you can see that it is a female. So the 2 albino squirrels were togather for a year. Maybe there is more because of their mating habits? I sent this pic to the TV station. :-)

Any guess on when DG will fix the DG clocks?

South Hamilton, MA

I would think that hawks could spot them easier as there is no camofloge. ( or however it's spelled)

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Robin, thanks for asking - still down for the count. A friend called this morning and asked if she could bring dinner over. I almost refused, but thought that it would rob her of being a blessing, sooo I said I would love it. Yippee!! We'll have a real meal and I can take a nap this afternoon.

That albino squirrel is photogenic!

Is everyone finished voting for your favorite pics?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yeah, any albino species is more apt to be "lunch" (or dinner)

Those pesky things are eating all my birdseed I want to get a squirrel feeder to see if they'll leave my birdseed alone.

South Hamilton, MA

We have a big crop of acorns this yr. so no raids on the feeder as yet--we have a 'basket' type so more difficult to try. When snow comes I bet they will be after it.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Jan23 I think if I never sleep I will finish voting in the contest by the 16th LOL. OMG the photos are incredible!!!

ge1836 I think you have to reset you own clock or at least I did. If you go to your preferences on your home page you will see your timezone. You just have to change it fromdaylight to standard and TAA DAA!

Too late send a photo?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Yes schickenlady unfortunately entries are closed. But everyone can judge!! Although beware it is very, very difficult to pick you 3 favorites in each catagory. Here is the link to the contest http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/919673/

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Is that something I need to read?!! Hee hee.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, ROBINDOG. Still feeling sick. Had to work all week. Off tomorrow. Will try and get some rest. Still too sick to get any work done outside. Oh, btw, we've had plenty of acorns here. Making a mess in my front yard where the big red oak is. Have a white oak there, too.

Victor, the color in your yard just blows me away! I'm drooling. Great pictures, as always.

Sherrie, that albino squirrel is great. Not too many of those around. Those pictures are wonderful.
