I learned something new! Fantastic and thank you..........will have to try the italics, too.
October blooms 5
It is certainly worth a try-- it lost about 6 leaves and I hate to waste them--thanx!!
I had forgotten about that, Lin. I have cut a stem (petiole) many times with a razor blade.
I thought it was you who taught me that trick, Gail! I use a little pair of manicure scissors. One of my favorite houseplant tools! I have a pair in my manicure kit and thought they were the perfect size for little leaves so I bought a pair just to keep with my plant supplies! I wipe the blades with a lysol or clorox wipe before and after each use, just as a precaution.
My scissors are from my old needle point days...........they are really sharp and tiny. I keep them handy all the time.
I don't know what Strep that is but it sure is pretty! Love the color of that bloom!
It is either Party something or one of those fantasy kinds...........not new.......but an old one..........
I think it's a him, Gail. Looks like Party Boy to me.
Thank you! I think you are right...........put a name on him right now!
Hey,I learn something NEW on this forum everyday.Syrumani how do you do the underline and slash?
Gail your episcias do look funny.
It's the same as the italics or bold. For the underline you use a "u", for the slash you use an "s".
Cool-- Thanks!!
Just a thought-- I don't want to open a full blown co-op--but is anyone interested in splitting a case (100) 6" hanging pots?? I went to the site and right now everything is 15% off plus free shipping on orders over $75. so initial cost would be about .90 ea plus shipping out to you, which will be as inexpensive as possible.

I was going to buy 10 --but the cost of shipping was as much as the cost of the baskets (12.00), making them $2.40 each. If anyone is interested--D-mail me and I'll see if my neighbor will let me have a UPS delivery to their house.

I don't have a bloom but I do have a couple of interesting pictures I took out of my kitchen window and the utility room. Then I jumped in my car to get to the entrance of the farm and then call for help. Jimmy was an hour away so he called one of his farm hands to come help me. The only problem was I had to sit in the car for 30 minutes until Peppy came.
I should just get the cows back in the pasture myself. You just put a lot of food from the barn in the back of your car with the door open and they will follow the food.
But I am glad Peppy came.
I don't blame you-- I don't like big animals--they scare me and they know it!! I am so glad we are no longer on the farm---whenever the stock got out -- I'd try to put them back in-- and they would just look at me--"yeah--right--make me"
They don't scare me. I am just being lazy be asking someone else to get them back in.....
You don't need to be out in this weather anyway, Gail! Although, I'm sure it's a few degrees cooler down there . . .
I hope nobody minds . . . I started a November thread . . . http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/919037/
LOL Gail ... I do think I remember a time last year when you talked about the cows getting out at night and you were out in your nightgown herding those huge critters! I just can't imagine! I am afraid of anything bigger than me! ^_^
Lin, I feel sorry for them. God made them so stupid. They won't hurt anyone. It is easy to get them back in but picking up the big bags of food out of the barn is the hardest part. It was funny though because Jimmy wasn't around. (he was an hour away and I thought, "Do I have to sit here in my car honking the horn to keep the cows away from coming out the entrance". Don't worry. I kept the air conditioning running all the time!
AWESOMEGail,I LOVENOIDS ^ _ ^....It's a beautiful sinningia!!!!!
Well that didn't come out right...LOL.^_^
I love the cows!! I reminds me of growing up on the milk farm...
