Lin...so sorry to hear about your kitty...
I am down to just one cat now, an old lady (Delilah) tortoise shell, who is half blind, partially deaf and losing her sense of smell. We have to put food right under her nose and keep showing it to her or she can't find it and walks off.
She's still a happy girl, though...constantly sits on us and purrs and purrs.
We're spoiling her while we can...it won't be long till she's no longer with us,.
Cats are such special people...
Hang in there!

Bingo,any interest?
Thanks Sharon! My DH and I have always held a special place in our hearts for cats for some reason! All of ours have been strays we've taken in and one was a baby from a feral mom. She's the youngest at 11 years old now. She was @ ten days old when we found her and her eyes were just opening. She was the tiniest little thing and we had to bottle feed her every couple of hours just like a human baby. She is now @ 20 lbs ... not so little anymore. Our cats are all indoor cats, the only outside they know is the screened pool enclosure that runs the length of the back of the house and they love it out there. We had one cat years ago that we found as a kitten and she lived to be 24! We miss having a dog in the family but someday, hopefully we will be able to adopt another dog. For right now, it's strictly felines!
Delilah was gotten from the Humane Society by the girl who lived behind us. They moved and abandoned their two cats. Delilah (then named Baby) was a friend of mine...she'd been coming around for petting.....so when her people left she of course came and told me all about her problems (she is still a 'talky' kitty) and walked in my front door, never to leave...lol...
The other cat who was actually still a kitten went home with the lady next door's grandson, so he was also okay.
There must be a place in Hell for people who abandon animals...
I totally agree with that! The things I cannot tolerate or forgive, are folks who mistreat children, the elderly and animals! Human beings are supposed to be the most intelligent ... sometimes I wonder about that. Some are just downright cruel and evil.
i'll double that.

From my days as an animal trainer (mostly dogs with the occasional pot bellied pig or chicken) I used to say that they're all gr8dogs, but sometimes the people suck...
I'd like to join in the bingo game. I only have a couple of gesneriads, but love them.
I know what you mean allgr8dogs! Sometimes I'd rather just train the dogs and send them home rather than having to work with their owners! But they're all not bad. Thankfully we don't have to worry about those things with plants. They just grow or they don't, but I don't think it's anything personal.

Welcome Shirley, great to see you again!
Thanks Jan and everyone. It is sad when we lose a loving pet and I know we did the right thing. I truly believe in having a pet humanely euthanized, rather than have them suffer.
It's almost BINGO time!
I've received cards from 17 players so far. Everyone has until midnight Sunday to d-mail your picks to me!
