Dave, did you tweak the ratings feature?

I just noticed that it looks like the ratings now go from 0-4, instead of being able to choose from -10 to 4, or whatever....if you did that intentionally and recently, thanks. Maybe it's just me, but I found the negative ratings kind of, well, negative.

go_vols, yeah we all found them kinda negative. I really don't know what I was thinking when I put them in there.

Now it's 0-10.

Well, actually the negative-to-postive ratings might come in handy if you ever decide to add a "rate the mail-order companies" feature....some of these guys are so bad, they need to have really negative ratings to scare away would-be customers. And others are so good, you need to have a really high rating to give them the accolades they deserve. Just a thought....

Yeah, definitely. But we don't want to actually rate the value of each other's posts in a negative way.

when we ever do rankings of companies/catalogs/etc we'll definitely have negative and positives.

Dave,
I disagree with the ranking altogether. Each person could decide by themselves, personally, if they want to continue browsing on a thread or if it isn't important to them. By using a rating system, you are using subjective votes that can turn the next person away from opening a thread/post by the shear rank of the thread (what's a weed to someone can be a flower to another). I just think it's a useless feature and as someone else pointed out here, it's even depressing. Sorry, but that's my opinion with it.

Well, the ranking experiment is over. I don't think _anybody_ liked them. :)

They're gone. :)

OH! Thanks Dave..

No problem. I think removing the ratings was the most requested request of the month. ;)

You know dave, its just like not being sent to Disney (i know not much and don't need to know anymore) Someone mentioned these rating # but i couldn't find them. I have enough just typing...just want to say this is a really great site, everyone is not the same but everyone is honorable. e
