Strange birthday. It started with a funeral, included way too much work, but also included my daughter's latest theatrical endeavor (She is a junior in HS). We had decided I'd get to celebrate Sat. & Sun. to compensate.

I did claim the weekend for whatever whim moved me. Didn't even plant my bulbs yet.
It is a beautiful time of year. I sometimes have to work to keep myself in the present and enjoy Fall without thinking of the dark and cold that lie ahead.
Sounds like you deserve a break. Enjoy Fall and imagine you are moving towards longer days. I get depressed thinking about putting on long pants.

Oh, David, :O I missed YOUR birthday! Please accept my most sincere apologies and I will mark it on my mental calendar for next year - except we know how well that one works, oh well. Think of it this way, on your birthday weekend I was at a catered party with ~350 guests, all dressed up, some in tuxes and there was this one woman who was WAY over the top, she was wearing like, man, practically a wedding dress! And I got a cold to celebrate after we took the money out for our wedding present (cash for the honeymoon).

Here is my alibi! Me "dancing" with DH. This is one of the three best pictures ever taken of me. Unfortunately, Bridezilla had the Fathers and Ushers change into these Red Sox jerseys (on top of their tuxedo pants) so what might have been a really elegant picture of us turns into a picture of me dancing with some guy in a Red Sox jersey.
And my hair is definitely TOO short. Here is the wedding cake. The top is now in my freezer. I guess that means they'll be spending their first anniversary with us!

Yeah, a zillion bulbs that need some cold, but not months of it! I agree, short, very, very short with good skiing on the weekends, but no ice, no daytime snowing and may it all be light and fluffy. Oh, cheap heating oil too. Patti

So sorry about that, David, but it's not "paraphernalia" exactly; it's a cake! Or do you mean the discussion of the attire of the bridal party? I AM truly sorry, kind sir, I guess I let my enthusiasm for my DH in a tuxedo run away with me!
