One of the brugs we were given has a huge bud on it and should bloom any day now. I'm so excited to see it!
One more pic from my morning pics.

Beautiful pictures this morning, thanks for sharing! It is truely amazing, how our gardens can cheer us up. Just go for a short walk, and look at all the treasures God has provided for us!

HI Mindy, so glad to see you posting! What a mess, so sorry for all you've had on your plate. I did laugh a few times to myself, because we went without water for a few weeks last winter and BOY do I know how good it is to have when you've been without so long. Hope this gets far enough behind you soon and you can have a good laugh to yourself :0) Daughter and hubby are no laughing matter and I do wish them a speedy recovery!

Mornin!!

Mindy... I sure feel for you.. I know what it's like to have problems just keep coming sorta like that energizer bunny... but you sure wish you could turn him off! Here's hoping all is getting better for you, and you can at least see some daylight!!

Pretty pics... I still owe you, for your generosity to me at Tyler.. I won't forget ..ty

Can any of you tell me what this is? I got it from one of you at the round up, but I don't remember who it was, or what it is?
Please help me Id this plant please?
Thanks

Mindy, So sorry to hear of your misfortune. Hoping and praying that things will start looking up for you, your husband and daughter and your poor battered garden!

Aggiegrl, Re: the DL wrapped in wet newspaper in a Ziploc bag - I got one from Mindy, and if I remember correctly, she told me it was a beautiful red velvet color. That's assuming that she gave you the same plant she gave me, of course!

Candol (Vickie), So sorry you missed the Fall RU, and sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you. My husband, Jack, has had several kidney stones, so he can sympathize with you. Hope you are feeling much better by now. I won your box of plants and was wondering what you could tell me about the canna and lantana, such as size of plants (height & spread), color of flowers, sun and/or shade, etc. Thanks for any info. you can give me.
Those daturas are amazing! When I got them out of my trunk (they were laying down in there), they were all wilty, but the water I gave them perked them right up by the next morning. I planted them out in the garden and they haven't died yet. One of them actually bloomed before a frost nipped it. Lorraine, did I get them from you?

Hi Neighbor Becky, hope everything's well with you and your family.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

I'm looking forward to the Spring RU, too!

Darlene

The plant ID forum told me it was a datura also. I have never seen one with the leaves like that, but the tiny seed pods look like it also, so when they dry up, I will be collecting them for sure.

hey guys,
i just got an email from Barbara Null. she lives in Tyler and came to the RU, but is not currently a member of DG. anyway, apparently she traded some Castor Bean seeds to some folks. she wanted to let you know that they are NOT Castor Beans, but are Mexican Morning Glory seeds. she is very sorry about the mistake and is happy to replace them if you give me your info. i hope everyone is having a good winter and Holiday season. i cant wait until our Spring RU!!! :)
