Peg That bruggie looks quite lovely! Go out tonight and smell the fragrance around, it must be divine!

Good evening to all! Quite busy today will try to come back later!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Someone is really close???? Gee, I'm beginning to think maybe girl babies are smaller at birth than boy babies. Oh well, what do I know I just had boys. Good luck to everyone who is guessing.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Peg fantastic color on that bruggie!! Man it was cold here. It was down to 34 today and had to bring in the brugs. Temp is going up to 38 tonight.

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

boy, you go away for a few days and when ya come back, everyone has moved. Then when you find them, the posts are so long ya can't read them all. I better not go away again. But then I am going camping for a week starting Wed.

I scanned the posts and stopped to look at pics. The canine babies are sweet. The human babies are precious. The plant babies are beautiful.

I enjoyed meeting all the hotties at the East Texas RU. I think a good time was had by all. I came home with quite a load. I spent yesterday afternoon potting and repotting and planting. I got two cuttings of brugs, one a double peach and another an orange, courtesy of Maggie and Ken. Mega thanks to them for letting us prowl through their property looking for cuttings of anything. I have all winter to decide where to put the potted plants I got at the RU. Thank God.

We are still warm here. No frost anytime soon. Thank goodness, because I don't have Miss Gargantuan ready to come in.

Welcome newbies. I am only a week old on this forum myself. You will find the folks most kind, patient and helpful.

Minneapolis, MN

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

My DD has 4 horses...2 she got as babies their now 3 years old 1 she got given to her so he didn't end up as dogfood
He's 14 with string halt...his back leg jerks when he walks from an injury..he was a rodeo dancing horse...Long ago...
And she rescued Lady too the people were gonna put her to sleep...she'll never be a riding horse...
She's a registered Quarterhorse and they fed her way too much high protein grain to make her grow bigger and faster
So her bones grew faster then her ligaments in her front feet..so their trying to turn under so she gets her hooves trimmed every 6 weeks to stop them from buckling under...They look funny but what works works...

Amiyah is 1 hour 7 minutes late from her visit with her Mother. Should I wait any longer to call the police and send out an Amber Alert. The DH is pacing and I am trusting my daughter again, doubtfully.

(Cathy), MO

Is this normal Sandra? Is she always late getting back I mean?

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Phyllis this is our horse Chase, he is a rescue too. He is double positive HYPP. What a sweetie he is. We named him chase coz the day we turned him out to pasture hubbie forgot to check the hotwire and it had a short and he knew it jumped the wire and we had to "chase" him four miles across corn fields!

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

You can't call her Sandra?

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

That's a hard call to make...
She has no phone or someone you can call to get in touch with her??
Is there a case worker assigned to the case that you can call and ask advice from....??
I'd call the police as a last resort..but I wouldn't wait real long if there's no one else to contact....
It would seem she'd have to have a contact number...

Minneapolis, MN

I did. First no answer. But now I called again and all is well. DH has got to just stop jumping to conclusions. She, like all young people these days only has a cell phone. She is on her way.

Does anyone have a dark padded place with four walls I could just slip into every once in awhile? If it ain't the kid, it's the DH. I know what he is doing, I get on line with the Hotties, and he is deprived. Poor thing. Wow! lol.

Minneapolis, MN

Bless you, Horse Rescuers. (((((HUGS)))))

Yeah, I mean I really thought I would have found out on September 23, the Final Hearing whether or not I had Full Permanent Custody but the judge said that he would review the case and give a final decree. We still have not heard.

I mean these kids just don't get it. It was ruled that the Mother of the child would have unsupervised visitation every other weekend and the father the weekends that the Mother did not have. Well the Father has obliged his responsibility, but he still calls saying "do you think we can have Amiyah for the weekend?" And the Mom literally, the weekend right before the 23 of September had more important things to do and since then, her weekends, she still has more important things to do. And another thing is the Guardian ad Lidem requested to be dismissed from the case and there is no other Social Worker or anyone else for that matter involved in the case. I think it is hog wash but I as the one that has her and has maintained temporary custody of her until we receive something from the Judge think this is BS.

Oh and get this...Both parties say they will pick her up between so and so and so and so. So Friday, I was told that the other Grandmother and the Father would be here between 1 and 2pm. They showed up at 2:15 PM so I lost another and 75 minutes of my life waiting for these idiots. Am I done. You better believe I am.

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

Donna - What a pair of darlings they are.

Ladies, have you noticed that every time you see a darling infant, each and every last remaining hormone in your body stands up and screams, "I want a baby!!" Good thing for me that my body is no longer capable of carrying out that desire.

Mary

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Dial up stinks....New thread please...

Louise Beau her rescue and Lady the other rescue are the same color as Chase
Taylor is a Palimino half Belgium half Thoroughbred...Big... sweet and lazy..
Spook is a Appy..was black and is now turning Gray...He spooks real easy hence his name
He got jealous of how big his brother were so he kept growing..and is pretty tall for an Appy..
But the DD says he's the best mannered..He tries so hard to please...
Their her kids so I guess that makes them my grandkids...LOL
will post a pic tommorow...It'll never go through tonight...

I need prayers BAD. I am crying so hard I can barely type. My baby dog Lily followed me out the back door without me seeing her as I went to water something and the next thing I heard was a car hit her on the highway I live on and her screaming. She slipped out of the gate that was cracked open going into the front yard without me knowing she was even in the yard. My husband ran out and saw her running down the highway after she was hit. He chased her barefoot for as long as he could run. We have been out for an hour. She may be laying dead under a tree or anywhere. She may have kept running and gotten hit again. Jerry had just given her a bath and she was still wet and had not had her collar put back on. We have contacted the police and neighbors are out on foot looking. Even if she is alive which I doubt, she would still have to make it home down a 4 lane highway. I have left all the gates outside and the backdoor open. I am totally devastated the neighbors found me on the grass in my nightgown screaming and crying. I don't think I can bear this load it hurts so much. Lily was to me what Copo is to Clemen. God help me

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Karen, my prayers are with you girl, keep us posted she is ok and hoping, positive thinking here

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Saying prayers here too Karen. ((( Big hugs)))

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Karen I am sending prayers for you and Lily..

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Oh Karen, my heart breaks for you. I can't say anything that is going to make this better for you. I pray that someone will find her so you will know what has happened. It's the not knowing that is so bad. I know the pain in your heart and I know you feel like you can't bare it. My prayers for your baby, Karen.
