I think you mean Carole's stove top picture? That's a great idea. See, Carole, you've got votes for it already.
Plant swap 2
Sofer, happy to be of service in helping keep you warm!!!
Sounds like you had fun, Love the dog in the balloon
That is outrageously funny. Thanks for sharing it. Love those Alaskans.
That is the problem I always have with an economic turn down. Toooooo much work. I have only a week a month at home until May. Got to make hay when the sun shines. Go get em Gordon! I am bringing home the meat, fish from Alaska and Venison from the hills behind my house. The only trouble with getting one on a motorcycle is building a travois to haul them home.
You go Guy..............

And it looks cool Tilly! See! Just a few plants and violla! It looks natural, yet still planned, perfect!
What is its name? dumb here LOL
And thank you.
What a lovely rock garden. Love those huge rocks
Sorry Sofer! Must be tough when all you see is brown white and more brown. Reminds me of Billings!!! Here is the last brug outside , and about ready to blooom finally! B. Sanguiena. I have heard nothing but bad things about the only red brumansia, but also the only cold lover.Man I hope this blooms so I can post a pic! There is about 12 buds and looking great!
OOOO Noooo Steve, I have lots more space, I have only just begun. LOL
Pix, I didn't get it at Gordons, I think he brought it to Heidi's. Have gotten so many, know who just not where.
Gordon, Can't wait to see it bloom, hope the cold weather stays away.
Have my first Hell bloom. The one that bloomed in august, didn't make it.
Get blooming Brug! I have a friend in Edmonton who grow them but she has a green house to finish the plant.
Tills I love the backdrop of the leaves evenly spaced behind the emerging Hellebore. Nature is so perfect.
Willow I had about 20 large loads of rocks dumped in my yard about 6 years ago to make a hardscape that mimics the mountain passes of Montana. Each grouping has a mountain shape that is in the 6 passes that leave the flathead valley. The paths through each mountain represent that pass. IE Marias pass, Rogers pass, McDonald pass, Lookout pass, Logan Pass, and Lewis and Clark pass. We have hiked up to collect a group of rock types that represent each pass and put them in the paths.
This is a rock shaped like Pinnacle peak going up to Marias pass.
Aw, I'm sorry Sofer. Must be the price you pay for that constant rocky mountain high you get all spring and summer. Plus, look at it this way: we're still slaving away in the gardens. Your garden work is slowing down.
Gordon, my envy runneth over!! I cannot BELIEVE you are getting B. sanguinea to bloom. It just nails home how much more sunshine people get when they are not completely surrounded by tall fir trees, and how that benefits plant growth for them. Huge surprise there.
I moved my brugs into the greenhouse. I'm trying to keep them from gowing completely dormant. It's working so far. I got a bloom on my variegated one! Bought this in a 4" pot this year. The smell is outstanding in the evening. After the lights have been off for awhile, I go in and the smell has permeated the greenhouse. It's a little bit of heaven when it's raining and cold outside.
My other two were covered with buds when I moved them in, but they resented the change in atmosphere and suffered bud drop. Not completely, but I don't know if the buds that are left will develop. On the other hand, no leave drop at all, so I remain hopeful.
Just need to stamp around the kitchen a bit to get this B. sanguinea envy out of my body.
