Good morning Hottie's.......Oh, how will I EVER catch up?? Been feeling the allergies of the season, but I'm NOT ready for a freeze, yet.. I think that would help my sinus's... (had a reply typed out last night and the puter acted up so I went night-night..) Becky LOVED that pic of your Momma, ((((((((((Momma)))))))))))) And I think she is adorable! Just like you. Sandy and Faye, all us hotties are here with caring and concern, sometimes life hands us too much of a "stack", if you know what I mean, and usually, it helps to talk about it, and I agree with Donna, sometimes you don't like your troubles, publicly "aired"... D-mail works good for that. I love how Debra put it... about not walking in others' shoes, and making each day count for YOU, so I don't judge because I know, no two people are alike, and I've only walked in my own shoes and can only imagine walking in someone elses. I do have broad shoulders and a friendly ear and a loving heart... It gets taken advantage of occasionally, but that's okay too, cause the good always out-weighs the bad, many times over.
Wolfie, you ol giver you, IF you haven't sowed those lion tails, throw a few seeds in my envelope.. I am a LEO.. lol if they are sowed it wasn't meant to be.. I will surely survive.

Morning/afternoon...Just got back from picking the pickup up....Long haul abt 200 miles round trip and another 100 in a little while to pick up the dh from work....
Go to go to Home Depot at least for the dh and got me a Rhodie..(Ken Janeck pink)..WooooHoooo.... Half price..Last one left...
Now to figure out where i'm gonna put the sucker...Maybe i'll dig out a rose bush along the driveway...

Sandra....The only thing you can do is raise them right....Love them...And tell them that everyday of their lives.....Show them who's in charge.... Teach them respect for self...others and things...That actions = consequenses...dissapline them when they need it..(time out works pretty good) Trust them till they give you reason not too..But allow them to earn it back....And try and keep track of what their doing at all times as it's a crazy world we live in.......And then love them a whole lot more...And always hug and kiss them goodnight... hello and goodbye... : )
And in the end they'll be who they are....and if it's not what you wanted... love them dispite it... You don't have to like it by no means...

I let them soak for 2 days in a moist paper towel in a baggie placed in the sun..then peeled the outer
covering off them...and put them in a styrafoam cup of potting soil....
Now lets hope I can keep it alive...LOL

Checking in...got some good news I wanted to share...
We have a new Handsome in the Hottie family!!!
This is Chester, my new Miniature Pinscher...he was rescude from a breeding farm :o( And now is being spoiled rotten here with us. Been super busy, these little guys are like newborns, and since Christopher is almost 12, it's been awhile....sleep for only 3 hours at a time....errrr
But I wanted to check in....had to skim all the posts but I did notice you all have been sharing pics of your furry Hotties and Handsomes!!!
He's only about 3lbs, and maybe 16" long, 7-8" tall (at the top of his head) He actually smaller than my DH, Todd's head...LOL!!

Wow Hotties and Handsomes I will never catch up.
I am still buried in the yard from Ike. It is just me and with my back surgery failing in 2000 and neuropathy in my legs it is slow. I have 3 of my beautiful trees over and am trying to figure how i can stand them up and put something to hold them at the same time. One needs dug out first and is awful heavy . I will get it of trash it. 2 are 1 large and 1 smaller Christmas senna and the one that is so big and heavy is my fruitless pomegranet. I love them all. I could grow the sennas again will take a while but my pomegranete will not be awful to loose. It is about 20 ft tall and I have had it around 29 yrs.
I still need to rake and mow too. No rest for the weary. My roof did take a beating. No leaks I hope.
I would like not to be put on the list of what is one thing I really want. Just not feeling up to par and it would probably die anyway.

Well I will close for now. I have seen the girls but only with supervision from my son. I wanted them fro a few hours this weekend as I got a refund on my reg homeowners and the 6th Destiny turned 6 and on monday Gwyneth turns 8. But he has to ask his ex. So I called back later and said I was not feeling good I will just get them a gift card and they can take them. He has gotten started on me again and I can't take it. Not really caring about anything right now. Just want to sleep. Maybe tomorrow will be a little better.
Also I have been made feel so great here. I am just having to hard of time to be one of you right now. You are all the best and I love you all but my life is really sucky right now and has been for a long time.
Thanks for treating me so very good. You are excepional people and TY for being here when I needed you and when I was feeling good. I will be ok not many days spent not crying. But this too will pass.

Here is a picture of my hoop house for winter, It is demolished. Don't think I want another one. I am thinking about selling and moving and far away. nothing that I can have is here anymore. And plants well I can live without. Don't have many doing great and lost many in the storm I can't get to yet. May have lost more. Just to tired to replace them even though I know all my friends here would help. I don't have what it takes to pot or plant them.

Joeswife, I have the Gypsy Bride M.G. It's in bloom now and if they produce seed I can share with you. Here's a pic.....it's not real clear but the G.B. is a white, shredded-look, double/triple blooms with blue/purple streaked markings. This plant has been in two hurricanes so a little on the ragged-side......but it sure produces some beautiful blooms.
Clem, if you have seed or plants of the Orange passion vine I sure would love one. I have P. Morifolia cuttings or seeds I could share with you.
Hi everybody! I just got back frim my kids' house in Middle Tn. I had 2 packages and an env. full of seeds from Lorrainne! One package was from Bonnie, got my plummie and some brugs! The other was from Kimarj, more brugs!!! Thanks every one! I'll try to do you proud!
I have to tell you this little story of what happened to me while I was gone! I was in Wal*Mart. buying TP,('cause they were out). This young woman was standing counting her change in front of the TP. I asked her did she have enough, and she just shook her head, distractedly. I said, "Would a $ help?" She said, "That's OK." I handed her a # and she said that was so sweet, and that I didn't have to do that. I told her to pay it forward, and she thanked me, and she beat me out of the store!
The next day, I was buying a cheap high chair to keep at my DDs house and a young woman asked me if I was expecting a new gb. I told her I already had a new GGD. She asked me if I needed a stroller, she was on her way to donate hers to the church. She gave it to me and it's one of the really good heavy dut ones! It ALWAYS pays to help out someone who needs it!

ILOVEJESUS , I learned that especially in bad times, the best place you can and should be is around people who care about you. I KNOW that gardenbuddies do that. I learned that in another great forum. I am just like it. When I do not feel good I want to stay away. But my garden friends pull me through. Lighten up my dark or bad days.

Luzia, This is a thread on the Burg forum. When you go to any forum you get a list of things you can open to read. They are called threads. Each time someone adds to the thread it is called a post. Just to let you know, we start new thread at around 300 posts, which is where we are now. That’s because we have a lot of people on dialup and it takes a long time to load after 300. So keep always read the last post and if a new one has been created there will be a link there.
I got to go out into the yard today and play director. Lisa dumped all the annual pot into the compost pile this afternoon. I had to show her which ones because she doesn’t have a clue. The yard is starting to look better, and maybe if she digs the holes I will be able to get some of the perennial into the ground next week.
Hope the RU hotties are having a great time, I'm sure it will be late tomorrow before we hear from any of them.

It is so hard to keep up with all you Hotties with fast fingers! LOL!
My fur baby got his bandages off yesterday, and is struggling to walk. So I've had to be with him every second of the day yesterday. He'd walk and have both back legs give out underneath him :( poor guy! He has to learn how to use his legs all over again!
I came home from the vet yesterday and there was a STACK of boxes on my front door! LOL! I was so shocked! of course most of them were all the bulbs I ordered...but......
I GOT MY SILVER FALLS!!!! Thank you so much Louise and Mariam! LOL! She sent me cuttings AND seeds! I was going to start some in one pot and then transplant as it grew, but I have enough now to start in all the pots! and seeds to boot! so thank you thank you thank you!
My garden is now complete...well, for this year :) lol!
As for the brug cuttings I promised... I am STILL waiting on the cutting boxes from the PO.... as soon as I get them, I will mail your cuttings! and dont worry, I havent cut the cuttings yet, cause I wanted to send them fresh....so as soon as the boxes arrive, I'll take the cutting and mail em :)

Hi you guys! Hey, I got to meet a DG'r and his wife in RL today and it was awsome he is a true gardener when it comes to exoctics and tropicals! He had some flowering , towering brug blooming away. Today I inhereted alot of different things INCLUDING some awsome MG seeds from Becky, and some yellow trumpet vine from Phyllis, and I am in heaven..right now. DH cooked a big ole T-bone and I am off to go fishing for catfish with my son tonight. Cya all in the AM and hugs to you all! RU Hotties having fun yet?
