Are we even allowed to send seeds internationally? I am unsure of the rules. I did look up the postage and I believe at the minimum, the postage for 2 ounces and under is $2.20. Have you ever exchanged seed with the US? If there are no custom restrictions, then I have no problem with it.
Winter Sowing Fall 2008 Seed Swap
I have no clue on that one
I had about 20 trades in the USA and never had problems. I'm also in another US seedswap. But paying the postage could be a problem. I have only 2 dollars left. If you have Paypal I can pay you.
Jonna
Jonna - you have d-mail. If you are still interested then let me know here.
I made the payment and I will send the seeds tomorrow. It usually takes a week to the USA
Good news! I look forward to receiving your package.
Hi...I mailed out the seeds on Friday...hopefully you have gotten them..Thanks
Liza (JWLW)
Just got them today! Nice packaging!
Anita, I sent off a package of WS seeds today. It's so great to look forward to WS, as I begin to "close down" my garden this week.
I agree. Even though I love all the seasons, fall is a bit sad sometimes as I watch my garden either dying or going to sleep.
Hi, folks! Is it too late or too full to get in on this? I can get the seeds out today, I'm heading to the PO anyway.
Neal
You've got it Neal - Welcome!
Thanks, Anita! I'm especially glad because I went ahead and mailed them, LOL. Wanted them to go out today to make sure you get em in time. Great to get in on the fun :-)
Sure thing!
Ooops...I forgot to write WS swap on the envie. I got distracted by a woman who couldn't figure out which boxes were free (priority) and which ones you had to pay for. Thought I made it clear, but then heard her at the window saying "I thought these were free...", oh well, I tried, LOL. Anyhow, sorry about that.
Not a problem Neal - as long as the seed is in there!
by the way - if anyone is interested in the garden glove coop - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/915248/#new - here's the link. I think the Nitrile gloves are the best gloves in the world!
Seeds are in the mail - they should arrive in N.Y in about 3 days ^_^
I mailed my seeds out today.
Its like we get Christmas early!
That's funny. I totally associate winter sowing with Christmas. The day after Christmas was my most productive day. While kids had their toys and everyone else was stuffed and laying around on the couch...I was able to sneak off and spend the entire day with milk jugs, soil and seeds.lol
I am sorry guys... I am going to bail out on you.... I have a lot of seeds but not all of them are ready to be packed up yet.. I wouldn't feel good about sending seed packs that might get moldy on someone... I don't want to make Anita nuts waiting for my seeds to arrive.... maybe do it a few weeks later next year.... sorry again
I, too, have a bunch of seeds that aren't quite ready..and I would love to be in on one at a later date...
OMGoodness, I had this thread on a watch and it never came up until now.
I'll get my seeds packed tomorrow and mailed out, I just hope they will get there in time.
Sorry folks.
Janet
edited to add that I'll send them out express mail so you should have them before the end of the week.

Anita:
I just wanted to say I've got mine packaged up and ready to go out tomorrow. I've also added a little something for you as our wonderful hostess.
Thanks again and I'm looking forward to my goodies....LOL
Janet
That's very sweet. Thank you Janet!
ok got my little package off today at noon. I didn't send it express as my Postman assured me they would be there before the 11/1 deadline. If for some reason they don't make it in time for the exchange just give them away and keep the postage. my return postage is inside the bubble wrap and it is a lot of different stamps, thanks to the postman.... I was just like why not give me the tape, he said it would have the wrong date on it.... and I said so what.... he said he can't do that. So sorry about all the stamps for the return postage.
let me know how you like the goodies.....LOL
Janet
not a problem. Looking forward to seeing what seeds you send!
Wow, you guys are sending some real cool seed!
Jan - THANK YOU! What a nice surprise. I'm lovin' the lip balm. I'll try the soap later. Unfortunately, I couldn't open your webpage?
Anita:
I see my seeds made it in time..... guess the postal worker was right for a change...LOL
I no longer have the web site up, so that is why you can't get it......
I use to have dairy goats and started out making milk soaps, which are still my favorites....
I figured you were already getting the colder weather and that the lip balm might be a good selection for you to use now...LOL
enjoy and thanks again for allowing me to participate. This is my first year at collecting seeds, so I hope they are in good enough shape.
Janet
You did a great job. Candyce and Lindjha - when did you mail your seeds?
Hi everyone - I've recieved all the packets except for the two above. I've emailed them and am just waiting a reply. If no response by tomorrow, I will start working the packets and have them out by the weekend. I had said the 1st as I would have sorted out the packets on Sunday and put them in the mail today. I don't have as much time during the week.
I apologize for the delay.
no problem on the wait here gal.... especially seeing as how I was worried that mine would arrive late. You get them out when you can, don't sweat it, beside we can't do anything with them now anyway....LOL
Janet
edited for spelling.....

Thanks.
Hi Everyone. I never heard back from Candyce or Lindajha. I hope all is well with them.
I started swapping - what excitement!!! You all sent such fantastic seeds! These are the packages that I finished so far and will go out in this morning's mail. I really hope you enjoy the seeds you receive in return and I hope they germinate well for you next season!

This is such fun! I've harvested more fun stuff I wish I'd had ready; I think I see more seed swapping this winter- a great way to get through the cold weather blahs.
