The reason the beautiful mockingbird is hanging out in my yard would be this brand new burgundy beautyberry that I haven't even planted yet. I wonder how long it will take him to strip it of berries!

Ooo, how big will that beautyberry get Elpaba? I want the Mockingbirds to come to my yard!!

Gorgeous pictures Adel!
Nanny, I think the sign said that the beautyberry would get to 5-6' but I bet it could easily grow to 8' x 8'. I'm putting mine in a spot where it can be huge, but I'm going to prune to 5' it if I can figure out what time of year I'm supposed to do that!

This Kinglet just showed up with a Chickadee. I took tons of pictures, but I either got nothing at all or I got a shot of its behind! You would not believe how many shots I took where I thought I'd gotten the bird in the shot and there isn't even a bit of wing! Fast little one!

cute pix everyone. Adel, funny that your gold rush looks like it is back on! Is that your pond/stream?

Marlton, NJ

Very nice shot of the Goldfinch adel! Great stop on the wings!

Elphaba, Great shots of the Chickadee and Kinglet!

Mrs. Ed.................It looks like I'm going to have to replace the sock feeder that the deer tore up to be able to keep up with the Gold Rush and yes that is my pond that they are drinking from..

Crazy Deer. And Bears!

My Mockingbirds would love that berry bush also. Here's a couple pics from the other day...no pics today because of rain. Collared Dove.

Beautiful doves GP!

Cardinal on the plumeria. I've been staking that plumeria and trying to make it grow into a tree but it keeps laying across the pond. I found out today that it is a variety that likes to creep on the ground. Whoever heard of a plumeria as ground cover! Now, I have no idea what to do with it!

you all are so lucky. I have house sparrows today. ONe interesting thing: A squirrel has figured out how to jump on top of a pole baffle! I'll have to raise it a bit.

How funny that we both posted cardinals at almost the same time.

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

OMG! Nanny, I missed your post. What a beautiful Common Yellow-throat, and there is nothing common about them!

Flowerjen, our Cardinals were meant to be together!

Very nice pics GP, nanny, jen and Elphaba!

Right before I spotted the Kinglet this Blue Jay was sounding off on top of the pole system.
Do you think he was saying "Peanuts..Get your fresh peanuts!" I had just put some peanuts in the shell out in the platform feeder. :-)
