You can get a cool new photo every day. I just snapped this after noticing them yesterday around the Butterfly Ginger. It's a Hummingbird Moth. Their tongue is incredibly long - almost hard to believe.

Great photos! Really like that first one!! I wanted to get shots of the HM's as they came in, But, I haven't gotten hardly any this year oppossed to last year!! They usually always feed at the Moonflower Vines in the evening, But, This year I have only seen one and that one was a couple months back, I don't know if it's because of all the dry weather or not.

Yes Iris they are anoles.

Iris,
Your photography is breathtaking. I haven't seen any better nature pictures anywhere. You deserve some type of recognition for your work. Have you tried sending some of them to "National Geographic" ?
My grandaughters uncle is a wildlife photographer for them and honestly, his photos are no better than yours. You are very talented.

Lynda, No, I have never tried sending any anywhere, I never really felt that they would make the grade. I thankyou so much for your uplifting comments, It boosts my energy to strive for better photos!! Thanks again!

Iris and keonikale, both of you have posted especially beautiful pictures. Keonikale, I love the pic of the gray tree frog, as well as all of the pics of the tropical plants. They are gorgeous. Iris I love your pictures too. I'd love to get a hummingbird picture like that! Your insect shots are amazing. Core I really like your sunflower shot as well.

Does anyone but me see a snake's head in the original pic posted by Keonikale at the beginning of this thread?

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

Which pic? The frog?

Kannapolis, NC

Yes, the frog.

Lexington, SC(Zone 8a)

I'm confused.

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

I don't see the snake. ?????

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

H, are your trying to create massive havoc here? Now we'll all be looking for the snake! ;-}
