Eggsplorer II: Mission ROMES Journey Log Continues...

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Senior Airwoman Lazy_Ladies....are we cleared for landing? Please advise since you are the only member of North Pacific Ground Control who is at her post!

Where are those other slackers....??!!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Cleared for landing Commander Moxon.

Permission to ooo and aaaa over newest lifeform?

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Captain Catscan....it works well because of the double Cs.

Would you rather be Colonel Catscan?

Thank you Senior Airwoman not-so-lazy-lady! Permission granted!

We are set to land at Iowa Air Base in the next half hour.

Special Agent ZZ - how goes the coop building battle? And the ambulatory mud battle?

Today I completed some of the triangle frames for my coop, and then I made the front and back doors for it. I made the back door solid because it's where the enclosed part of the coop will be, and the front door is framed chicken wire.

I made the remaining triangle bits for the coop down the middle also.

This is the picture of the coop I am building. I will take a pic of progress tomorrow. I am all tuckered out today!

I bought the plans for $7 and I think it was worth it for me.

Agent ZZ reporting....

Extremely tired.. not only worked on coop, but planted some veggies.. cleaned up garden... etc.
Finally got an idea of what I want to do, and how to do it.. Gathered wood and am ready to do some serious framing tomorrow! Will have something to show tomorrow.. I hope I hope.

Thought of chick boots all day.. LOL

Thank you Commander for naming that one Praline... I am honored.

Over..

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Agent ZZ - excellent work. Keep it up! We like industrious ground crew members! Praline is proud to carry your chosen name, and is doing well this morning.

Senior Airwoman Lazy_Ladies - as I said to the chicks this morning..."How are my widdle fuzzy wuzzies dis morning...awww...did all my fuzzy wuzzies have a widdle sleepie-weepie last night?" It is important to speak their language. ;-) Since you are clearly an expert, perhaps you should work on a dictionary of chickspeak.

Commander Josh - sorry to hear about your mission failure. Very sad. Looking forward to your next mission though. Best of luck with it and keep us updated.

Sgt. Jordan - Suggest not hatching chicks on moon. Counterproductive. Moon conditions too cold and desolate for healthy chick hatching procedures. Additionally, water difficult to obtain on moon. Recommend hatching chicks on Earth for the time being.

Moxon over.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

aye, aye commander. will follow out my orders

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Commander Moxon reporting late hatching OEG egg just found pipped. Had been placing OEG eggs into 'bator from time to time when they appeared in my bantam pen. Didn't know if they'd be fertile or not. This one had been looking good but didn't realize it was ready to pop! Cranked the humidity up a bit. Keeping an eye on it. Probably a fawn silver duckwing like its parents. This is the only egg that is ready at this time. I might have a couple of serama eggs in a few days from the same pen. They are either fertile from the serama roos they were housed with before I got them, or from my OEG rooster, Mr. Hudson. Not sure what an OEG/serama cross would be like.

Over.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Commander Moxon reporting successful hatch to apparently AWOL ground crews.

Looks healthy and happy to me!
