I may have missed you lucky will you be trying more dove eggs i would like to know how you hand feed them I had a hen Dove drop dead and had a chick i was glad i had a pair that had one and i could let them raise it. But it would be good to know how to feed one in case the time comes i need to know.
Will be watching for your answer. ( for those wondering about the dove dying she was an old bird )

i just get a baby bird formula and feed it that with a teaspoon or syringe until its crop is full

lol I bet so. I threaten mine dont make me make you fried chicken. i have a couple roo's out there that just want to fight all the time. Now my girls for the most part are real gentle and not much on the fighting yet. I think I might have a broody hen. I am going to try and catch her today, she is under the aframe and If I can I will cage her up and put some eggs under her.

jezebell has her nest under my confederate rose. the weeds have grown up around here. you can barely see her

yea I seen her picture and could barley see her. Can not wait until she parades her little ones out for you to see them. You gonna let her free range or put her and the chicks up when they hatch?

i'm thinking i will take the chicks until they are bigger. afraid if i leave them free ranging with her, something will kill them.

i don't think she would like that. she has never beenpenned up. her and wally roost in the tree at nite. they will not go in the shed or the porch
