I HAVE ONE!
Honey, you haven't lived until you've done 50s. :o)
tell her joyce. life really begins at 50
Sorry for the silly you should take them out but i would at least candle them to be 100% sure they are dead.
if dead what will they look like?
well i will be 49 in jan. and then 1 year and it's the big 50 but i'm haveing so much fun do you really mean it's gets better Woo Hoo in that case i can't wait to be 60!
Help!! "Claire" Jordan wants to know what to look for if her eggs are dead.
Unresponsive and, ummm, sloshy?
Jordan since Claire is not responding i would say look for movement and listen to hear peeping. Careful rotton eggs will explode.
a couple are sloshy, a couple have a good air pocket but don't respond to tapping, a couple are dark all threeww
Sloshy's are rotton I would if not seeing anything and no response consider them dead how about everybody do you agree.
Can't imagine sloshies being anything but long gone. Sorry Jordan.
what about the other 4
I would keep a little longer and wait. Sometimes I 'tap' test for response with my fingernail. No pro though, and I don't know banties.
they don't respond to tapping
It's been 4 days over the hatch date and i only wait 3 i will leave the decision up to you Jordan.
Hey Jordan, are any of the eggs blue-green? They can be really hard to candle and look dark all through even if there is an air cell.
Keep the ones with the good air pocket.
Sloshy is very bad. Dispose.
the eggs are white,
Dang. Still keep the air pocket ones, not the sloshy ones.
Oh you guys have made my day. Someone told me life begins at 30 and so I was a little disappointed that at 37 I seemed to miss the new beginning. Glad to know that they were wrong and will look for the new beginning in 3 years. That gives me a little time to prepare.
Sheila
aye aye commander. private jordan carrying out your orders
Life used to begin at 40--improved health care and raging narcissism have pushed it back to 50.
lol you girls are for sure the nuts of the bunch. Glad I am in your group. Miss tamera, I best be getting some chocolates also. Maybe we can plan it just right and have them make babies and hatch them right before easter. What ya think there.
Kathy, when my phoenix start laying if ever. I will save you some eggs. They are the silver laced, here he is.
tia, he is beautiful
I like the turkey. Gobble gobble.
LOL the turkey, I let them out 3 days ago she goes back into the pen he has now perched his sweet buns ON TOP of the coop. he is to big for a critter to get him. Or so I hope.
OMG Tia, you had better be bringing some of the White Crested Black Polish to Chickenstock. I need a trio at least. If not I will not provide any intoxication assistance.
Sheila
tou got it, I will be bringing most if not all my crested. i love them but they are not what I want.
Oh Tina, what a handsome guy!! Will that be "dark" chocolate??? My favorite?
What kind of sustenance are we talking about here????? I like liquid refreshments...just ask Kathy....
she likes bloody marys with my homemade mater juice, raspberry daquiri's mikes hard lemonade, absolute, coorslite......
he sure is my pride and joy right now until my baby's grow up and show me what roo's I have with them. they are about 2 months old now. Now that pretty boy is a year old.
yummy my kinda girl. Not much on the bloody marys, but I can make a killer one. I use to bar tend.
Kathy you need to wow these ladies with pictures of Wally and Jezzy.
Kathy has some killer tomato juice she put up. It isn't a drink I usually order out, but with the homemade stuff...mmmmmm mmmmmm.
I'm a Strongbow hard cider kind of girl. That, and fruity beer, and pretty much any wine. Or a really well made Tom Collins. Strongbow is hard to find. I like woodchuck as an alternate.
We have an "International Market" that has a selection of brews that you wouldn't believe. From just about any country imaginable...I'll have to check for a "Strongbow".
I'm not crazy about Gin, but I'd be glad to join you in a Vodka Collins!
i can bring white crested balcks too...
kathy ssad still about those golden.... but wally is still alive? he is a honker!
i thought u had to take the eggs out of the turner when they hatch
