Awww darn, That would have been such a pretty shot!
What's your most disappointing photo of the day? Vol. 2
I think that tail shot is artsy! Beautiful detail!
I have been trying to get a photo of this Gnatcatcher for about a week. Today I was watching these Nashville Warblers and the gnatcatcher showed up. I thought he was a Chickadee at first and didn't even take pictures! Darn it.
Here's my almost shot of him.
oh so close
Long wait..almost...hopefully next time!
Yep!
Resin
Nanny, what the heck happened there?
Hate to say it ..but I don't have a clue what happened!!
Don't ya hate it when they do that Mrs. Ed!! lol
At least you have the tail in the shot! I have so many with no bird at all!
I looked over at the pond and this one was on the plumeria in the sun, would have been the perfect shot, but I scared him. He flew into the shade and I ended up with this lousy blurry shot of a Black-throated Green Warbler. Darn it! Wouldn't do any good to lighten it up b/c he's so blurry.
Oooo, I have lots of pics like that Elphaba! lol
I gotta reiterate that I LOVE this thread. haha
Mrs. Ed, I just saw the pic from 9/22 of the Blue Jay with the peanut...Love it! I have had no success in getting pics of those buggers!
Well it shouldn't be too hard for me since they make all kinds of racket to let me know they are on their way!!! LOL>
What a beauty Nanny!
Rose, I hate it when a bird won't look at me! It's like if they don't look at you, you're not really there. I got a hawk to turn around and look at me by using my flash once. Good shot though all things considered! I wish a Kestrel would land outside my window!
Aww shoot... but you can really see the yellow there!
The Golden-crowned seem to be even harder to shoot than the Ruby-crowned.
You're right, Mrs. Ed, the blue jays definitely let you know they're around but the ones on my place fly away if I even act like I'm getting close to them!
These are all wonderful 'almost great' pics
Nanny started a new thread for us. Here it is:
