She's About To..........#15

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Louise! I'm 2nd of 4 girls! And I agree about girls over-dramatizing... and a lot has to do with the individual child too. Joyce, I say you are a very brave woman... and probably me too, (maybe just stupidity on my part) I knew the D was a scheming little control freak but I didn't think it would touch me after 8 years... I did the b-days with the GK's and Christmas. Her little 6 year old daughter said Christmas isn't Christmas till we go to Grandpa's, Mommy.. that's cause I made sure there was a homemade meal, decorated tree and candles and gifts and stockings filled with loving care.. I miss my little step gkids. Sure don't miss anything else. Someday, maybe someday I'll get a couple of my own.

LOL, Louise your hubby sounds like a winner! (I was a cougar once too, but he left me for a kitten that was already pregnant by someone else)Just about killed me and my girls......Boy we all have had some interesting lives, huh? My Jerry was forced by a horrible Dad (they haven't spoken in 10 years) to work hours and hours and hours in the yard (without eating many times, or rest) the whole time he was growing up, so unfortunately he detests any kind of yardwork, and has no interest or joy in flowers. There is no happiness in it for him. But.........he loves me so much, he doesn't curb or complain about my yard "spending"...Whatever makes me happy, makes him happy!

I do wish he would enjoy it and spend time with me in the yard though.....He did help me did a trench for Cannas last spring and was a wee bit excited to tell me when the first one bloomed so maybe there is hope for him yet

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Peg what time is dinner hon? OMG I could live off fried green tomatoes, let alone pork chops with taters and gravy! Sounds so good it's make you want to slap your pappy as my Granddad used to say!

Guys, I have that white clematis in bloom now all over everything, but honestly I think it stinks! It smells awful to me. To be so pretty every night I get out of my car (the clematis is down wind) and I think what is that smell!

Evening hotties,
Again I am out in left field, long day at work with a nasty commute. I couldn’t even sneak in to lurk today so I had to read it all tonight. I had to do the quick scan read but I caught the theme of the day. For me it was ONE, TWO, THREE strikes and you’re OUT. Not one is a good story and unfortunately none had happy endings.......

Hey Hotties, I was so thrilled this morning when I went out and found this moonflower mixed in with my morning glories, I have no clue how I miss this last night. . Now I need to find food and the shower, be back in a bit.

Hey y'all.  Had to feed the Little Tooter and her Grandpapy.  The lake is actually a chain of lakes.  It's a decent size there is alot of boating and jetskiing and Partying too.I think I would have stayed married to the first, not really knowing true love until the second.  The first was a womanizer and father to both of my kids.  My second husband Mick, sigh! I am still in love with but he was an alcoholic controlled by his very political father, so he basically abandoned me, took my home, cause I was dumb enough to listen to his father about bailing us.  The house was mine and mine alone after the first divorce.  But I quit claimed it to my father-in-law with the verbal agreement that once Mick went through Treatment and we got back in shape financially, he would quit claim it back to us.  Mick went to Treatment and the very day he was out he almost died of alcohol poision and his dad flew him back to NJ where we were to eventually live and over the course of a year or more brainwashed my husband into abandoning me.  Yep true story.  Third husband came along when we met at a bar.  His wife had died a little over a year earlier of cancer and so he proposed that we live together for a year and if it worked, it worked and if it didn't, it didn't.  Because Mick had abandoned me, I lost my home and had to live in the "ghetto" for a year with only my daughter.  My son had to move to Kansas City to live with his father and well, yeah, this is why I have custody of my grandchild inadvertanly because things changed at that point in our lives and what Chelsea learned from living that year like we did, she changed too.  Anyway, DH did all this just so I would not have to live in such a deplorable condition.  So, for our wedding present, we bought this lake home.  After that first year of a trial togetherness thing.
