OH TY.. was wondering how ya'll smarties did that..LOL.. that's soo neat what you can do with the puter^_^
She's About To..........#15
Guess we need to form our own club! PA for Plants Anonymous? Or GA for Gardens Anonymous??? Kind of catchy, don't you think??!! :-)

Merpeg your Dh sounds like mine so the swap wouldn't work for us....
spoiled rotten to the core, and very high maintenance and after 7 kids likes it just the 2 of us so he can have my undivided attention...
Told me yesterday about the frost so I can make sure the babies (Brugs) come inside...We watched them grow from little sticks in water on the diningroom table into as he calls them trees...He wants to see them bloom too..but won't admit it......LOL
Men...
It's an affliction, we MUST feed it! lol Good morning gals, well still morning here for a few minutes! PEGGY! So glad you are up to 70% and able to check in and catch up.. I know I feel better since you did! XO Love all the doggie pics and Becky, you know you can expel that carp ;) here and we'll listen and may even offer a coping technique, if we have one.. I'm trying to get stuff done at work, I'm taking off Thur & Fri for my BIG toe dealeo.. I'll probably spend some time here (or on #16) those days, cause the ol weatherman is predicting rain! Ain't that a kick in the patooney! I'm off on medical and I can't even play outside! lol (prolly won't feel like it) Oh, he doesn't really know... thought maybe I could get a headstart on my list... nothing too draining on the ol toe... lol Sandy I'm so relieved the "little tooter" (!Karen, so cute) is feeling better and goodness you are a rock, girl.. all the restless hours, days with Amiyah and you're canning??? I'm gearing up to at LEAST trim and move stuff the 28th of Sep, unless I (me not the weatherpeople) decide to wait longer... living on the edge now, but I want to see the blooms... Sure hope we don't the that F word warning (frost!!-Hotties!!!, lol) before November 1st... but my gut tells me I will. So it's all subject to change cause I'm learning to listen to my gut.. it's usually right.. Karen, I think we could probably do something to get our names on the 6 oclock news, IF we weren't careful! LOL ... ... ... BREAKING NEWS - 2 rather HOT mature Barbie-type women seen running from Walmart with plant trimmings falling from their pockets... last seen in a barbie corvette (HOT pink, of course) headed for the hottie hullabaloo, please warn your local nurseries if seen in your area! lol Oh yea, License plate reads - C-ya! I so long to have a Hottie Hullabaloo.. I'm kinda poor right now, so I'm using my NOT hot pink push pins to point you all out on my big map downstairs.. I'm determined we WILL have a Hottie RU somewhere, someday. Gotta do some w-o-r-k.. Hi Linda K, Cat, Joyce, Audrey, Clemen!! I might have some dirty laundry of my own to share..(today is a better day-but I still feel an urge to purge) I agree, no one is perfect we all have obstacles and issues with something and if gettin on here and typing them out helps, then I say vent away girls.. sometimes it's rather cleansing.. and all that is needed :) Happy thoughts -Bonnie
ROTF Bonnie, and you say I'M the writer, hehe! I could really envision us pulling a caper like that. Sandy I hope you understand that "little tooter" is a baby endearment where I come from, sure hope it didn't offend you...
Off to weedeat..ewwwwwwww.....will talk to you ladybugs after awhile :)
Much better to vent in here, than to save it up until we explode on our DH's or kids or whoever! At least in here, everyone is supportive and understanding. We've all been there at least once! :-)
Karen, that is already her new nickname. LOL. I haven't got a keypad I am on a laptop so I don't have a number lock nor a keypad so I can't do the symbols. What was wrong with those people when they designed these things. Bonnie you are cracking me up. I can't wait to get Amiyah a barbie car and I think if I have the time, maybe this winter, lol, I'll start a journal so she can see what all us old hotties did for kicks when she was young.
Oh yeah, what DH stand for anyway? Is it Darling Husband or Dam H LOL.
She ain't feeling so good here.
I think it depends on the day Sandy!! LOL. Supposed to be Dear Husband I think
Yep, you're right Cat, we're hotties, we can take explosions with our eyes open.. Karen, I bet Sandy knows it's a term of endearment, my sis calls her GD lil tooter.. :) Children are so precious and then they grow up and forget who taught them right from wrong or forget they KNOW right from wrong.. but no one is perfect. My evening was strange last night, heard from the xBF for the 1st time in over a yr... seems he was cleaning and found some old toys I had taken over for his grandkids to play with..... oh and wondered if I wanted them back. I never really lived with him, but had plans to before the big blow up, which involved my DD and his DD... long story (sorry) - when the going got tough, he didn't want to talk to me about that, removed himself from the ugliness and expected me to accept it, I guess. I felt abandoned in my hour of need. Our DD's were in cahoots... I wanted the 4 of us to sit down and we could be the parents telling them how it was going to be.. instead he bowed out and let the feathers fly. Communication IS the key to success in anything.. When I told him that isn't how you deal with an issue that sensitive and you certainly don't treat someone you supposedly love and cherish like that..... he asked me to teach him!! I said No, I've got my 3 children practically raised and at this point in my life, I'm NOT about to take on a task that size.. I don't have the energy and there isn't enough time for you to learn. It's something you are taught by example as a child, love and respect for those you care about.. Okay, long story even longer.... before I answered the phone, I told Mel, he probably broke off with a GF and thinks he can manipulate his way back into my life.. WELL guess what?? Poor grown man had just filed for divorce from his bride of 13 days! What a dingbat! Needless to say, IF I ever marry again it will be for money, and the dude still has to have the loving respectful caring qualities I really long for.. (and he has to like gardening) Married one for love and loved the X and his children/grandchildren for 8 years... so IF there's ever a "next"... he's got to treat me like a queen.. I have my standards you know! Honestly, if his D (cause she's NOT a dear) would have minded her own business we'd probably still be together, maybe I should thank her? lol I'm 100% certain X has a plan... and it AIN'T working with me. So Becky, it is hard, maybe impossible to have a brady bunch type family... I agree with your thoughts. It takes a lot of patience and unselfish giving and understanding on everyones part to make it work and that hasn't happened in all the years. How could dinner at her new house whip up enough magic to make things right? There would always be the pink elephant in the middle of the room and everyone would have to walk around it. My dad was a binge drinker so I know all about pink elephants.. kind of like an ostrich burying his head in the sand pretending nothing is wrong.. But my mama did teach me love and respect and to do unto others as you'd have them do unto you.. She isn't perfect, (but really really close) she did the best she could. It was different waaaaaaaay back when I was growing up.. Moms didn't work, they were more like June Cleaver. Mom is a survivor and my hero. I will NOT be bam-boozled. THERE! hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (BIG sigh) I DO feel better! Here's an "old" pic of me from spring break with Drew in OR/WA Look at the size of those moppy heads! (the hydrangeas) :)
I think it depends on the husband. (snicker)
I told my husband what I said and he laughed right along with me and he said maybe it means dead Head. LOL
OMG Bonnie, don't know which is prettier, you or the hydrangeas, LOL! Seriously, those are the biggest and prettiest I've ever seen! Were they your flowers or someone else's? That is the one old timey plant I love dearly, but I kill everyone I get.
Beautiful Bonnie. Is it Annabelle? What is the one on the other side of you????
I sure wish I was in a warmer zone right about now!
It's getting cooler here too Sandy. That time of year I guess
LOL. Yes it is cooling down for a few days here, but we will have warmer weather back again for at least another 6 weeks. I was admiring Bonnie's pic. Because whatever that gorgeous purple thing is, I'm sure it woudn't grow here. I am waiting for your question to be answered about the identity. It is beautiful.
Yes it is! Ok Bonnie...enquiring minds want to know!!!!
SHeeesh! Hectic when you have to take a day or two off work... I'd do it every week if I had 2 xtra days, though. You are all so kind.. We stopped at Joy Creek Nursery in Scappoose, OR... it was drizzly, but they had umbrellas and Drew was about 14 or 15 and he hung right in there with me... you know I had to see and touch and smell everything! lol I'm not sure of the names, they grow good up there in that climate.. I have a Lady in Red and got blooms this summer!!! This was before we knew Drew had naturally curly hair..
Becky, you are soo lucky that your DH is interested in your blooms! I practically had to drag Chris (x) outside and then he'd just nod and say ah huh. I think you could make a hottie out him, yet!! At least a brug lover, if not .... an addict!
YAY... WTG!! Bonnie stand your ground.. those wimpy men... they think just cause they are "them" we'll follow them anywhere...TY for your headache/heartache... sure made me feel I have a real sis in all this mess called life!! I only had 2 brothers and I was the middle child... boy did I catch it both ways..LOL You are so pretty!! And I can tell you didn't stray too far from your raising
Karen... yeah.. Bonnie can write too..LOL I want to be a fly on the wall if ya'll ever get to meet... I bet I'll be the "peeingest" FLY AROUND.. I'LL BE LOL SOOO HARD!!!!! You are soo sweet.. you know I love you too!!
Sandra.. glad Amilyah "might" be feeling a lil better..hehe.. looks like she wants to smile sooo bad.. DH has a point.. sometimes we do want to "kill" them...
cat... yeah.. we might need another swap title..
Joyce... yeah Karen busted.. or bursted my bubble too... Lyle says I am an ostrich and keep my head in the sand..LOL and here ol Karen inlightened me about all kinds of stuff
I'm in love! Gotta find out what that plant is!
Bonnie, would you mind if we post that pic on the plant id forum? See if anyone can tell us what it is???
Chattie chattie chattie, hee, hee, I love it!
Well lets see first we have a cutie contest, between Amihya and Bonnie, who is the cutest one of all? And Aunt B, two words for those hydrangeas "QUE BELLEZA" (means how gorgeous) how old are those plants, I have some but not even close to being that big, are are you feeding them girl?
So glad to hear Peg is feeling much better, get a day off woman so we can chat a little.
Beckie, keeping fingers crossed here that your momma does have to be evacuated, I've been following the storm and it looks like it might get there, yikes!
Sandra I also wish I was in a warmer zone. Can't wait for my daughter to graduate from highschool, 3 more years to go, and see if we can leave NY altogether, although our life and business is her, bummer.
Karen how can you kill a hydrangea, they are so easy to grow. I even make cuttings in the fall and just stick them in the ground and they take for next year!
Anyway time to go back and fix the darn computer, See ya,Clem
Sandra, she is adorable, as far as diaper rash goes, Cepacol works wonders. I used to use it all of the time with both of my girls and so did my sister. It clears it right away. It does not burn them!
I am going to go out and take a pic of my Pink Hydrangea tree if the light is right. It's white all summer then turns pink in the fall. BRB.
Cat That plant is Oakleaf Hydrangia.. and they grow good down here too
Yep... I think he wants to get excited..but he doesn't want to let his guard down of the macho man..LOL
Going out to dig holes...hehehehe
Google Joy Creek Nursery, I bet they have names and pics you can match up Cat. Well are you talkin bout the Oregon vaca hydrangea, whew- hotties, I'm not trackin on the same step with ya's, I'm just a step and a half behind! lol
Sandra - (Is it Darling Husband or Dam H LOL) Love the way you spelled out Dam but left H short....LOL
While we are on abbreviations what is ROTF?
AuntB - I am a step-child and I am a step-Mom, and I thought heck I have this down, I already have the experience of being a step-kid so being the Mom this should be a snap.LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!! Talk about DUMB.... One thing I did learn, I think, is that it seemed to me families that were in tack were having the same issues as our step family, but as step-parents you are more sensitive or cautious don't know the right word on what you can or can't do with the conflict with steps. Where if you are the intact parents, they still had issues on how to raise the kids, how to disipline the kids, kids feeling like you love one more than another, money, and life in general. So when things felt screwy to me I just thought about my friends and their families and there really weren't so many differences. XBF probably wouldn't have been a communicator or help resolve problems if it were an intact family, some people just want to hide from conflict and ignore it and hope it goes away. Sad thing is it usually does go away.....
ROTF is rolling on the floor laughing. Gonna google oak leaf now! Thanks
Rolling on the Floor
Just wanted to add....we made it thru the hard times and I have a great grown up s-son (which I don't usually describe him a s-son) with a great beautiful GD. Fun Fun Fun, couse when DH and I married DS was 15 years old, not the greatest time to bring in a step-Mom......LOL
See what I mean??? Clemen, thank you but Amiyah wins HANDS DOWN! Sandy I do have 2 of those tree type hydrangeas in pots.. 1 like you described and a new one this year that is supposed to start and stay pink... I don't bring the big one in and may not the little one either. I've had it in there as long as I've had brugs... I'd need an excavator to dig thru clay and rocks if I ever want to put it in the ground... Donna, got one of them mini excavators??? Where is Donna? Bet she hasn't had time or privacy to steal a sec to post.. Hope to see the red print after I hit send and it's your hyd.tree pic!
oh Sandra your Dg is adorable!! Bonnie love the pics! Oh and here is a hoot for y'all. I am a couger. Yup my Dh is 15 years younger than me. Don't ask....longggggg story. Bonnie I am with you. If I was ever in the position to look again I would go for the money too. I already told my hubbie he needs to keep me in the style of life to which I am not accustomed. He says all he has to do is buy me plants, they are cheaper than diamonds lol.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences and your thoughts on my short rendition..
ROFLAO- rolling on floor laughing (hiney) off! Phyllis, mines more ball-shaped.. bet they are different?? maybe is yours in the ground?
Joyce that is a horrible time to be a stepmom lol. Glad it worked out! Teens are scarey. All that drama...lol. Course I think teen girls are worse than boys. Everything is life and death with a teen girl and that is coming from a family of four girls and no boys.
Sorry, not Phyllis, Sandy, the hyd tree owner..
Funny, funny when you find out how much in common woman can be. My first husband, was 5 1/2 years younger than me. The second husband was 4 years younger than me. Husband number 3 is 16 years OLDER than me. I did go for the money and spent it. LOL
Bonnie, you know only a hottie would have an exBFsniffing (or sniffling?) around again! Whatever his intentions are! You know he was a dud, but, still take it as a compliment to you and just go on...wasting time dreaming of "what could have been" does not work, because truthfully it never would have been. I bet everyone of us have loved the wrong man once, or twice or, oh well! There is a reason they are exes :)
So, we're looking for rich, loving and respectful for you? Hmmm, maybe some matchmaking instead of flower trading is in order? Hey Hotties, keep a look out for Bonnie's perfect man, Tee Hee. Now, instead of marbles, let's see what we can send ya...Sorry, feeling better and getting ornery! You take care of yourself and please, don't let this get you down. You deserve better.
Those hydrangeas in that picture are beautiful. I have two, an oakleaf and a lace cap, if I remember right. They are four years old, never get above 3 ft and have never bloomed. They are getting ready to be moved and this is their last chance or they will find themselves boxed up and sent to someone else! :) My mother had a huge one when I was a child and I so wanted one like it.
Got to get up and get around before my DH shows up and inspects the brug again. We had a long rain shower this afternoon and it took out the electricity, so I slept. So, I'm behind again... Pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy and fried green tomatoes and okra tonight. Come on and we'll ruin our cholesterol together! Peg
