Thank you Candee and Steven. Foliage comes in handy when flowers are sparse!

Lovely colourful arrangement Steven. I like the way you grouped the flowers in blocks of colour. The vines look great!
Thanks for sharing your flowers, they are so pretty. Sorry it's left you bare, it's the same here!!

I love the photo Steven from the top, makes it take the appearance of an entirely different arrangement than the side, neat effect. The colors look gorgeous together and I like the placement of the leaves in that one as well. Guess when we just have final things to focus on they really come to life cause the colors look more vibrant than they did a month ago!

(Zone 6a)

Terri, Thanks! Honestly I didn't even realize I had grouped the colours together! But you're right and you've given me ideas for next time! I'm glad you like the vines! They're already starting to turn around and grow into the rest of the arrangement. It gives it a sort of 'medusa' effect.

Thanks Candee :) I rather like the top photo too and am thinking of setting the arrangement out on some solid white paper for a background and taking another shot from above.....I think it would make a nice print to hang on a wall. Think so?

Wonderful idea Steven! I've often thought it would be nice to have our arrangements in a calendar for each month.
Or make artworks with our pictures.

It's nice when the vines twist and turn, gives a natural feel!

(Zone 6a)

A calendar is a good idea Terri! It would be so nice to see our blooms every month.
I used to have photoshop and make art with my photos, it was fun.

Sounds like a new theme to me!!!!!! That is a brilliant photo, love the composition.

(Zone 6a)

thank-you! It would be neat to see what everyone comes up with!

Steven - I started a framed not cut thread a while ago, perhaps we could continue with your ideas there. I really like the idea of using our artwork as decor, I do that all the time at home. My breezeway is all framed with photos of my prized plants as well as one framed in the bath and several in the rec room downstairs. I'll have to post some pics for you.

Pretty fall blooms! I just love big old fat arrangements of flowers. I like to cut them short in a crystal rose bowl. So chubby, ha.

Sally those are splendid fat blooms and lovely fall color as well. That looks like a painting in a frame.
Steven how did you get that guest room? Did you slip Sue a margarita when I was busy doing some chores in the garden?
Terri, I don't know what I was thinkin, obviously nothin! I guess I was in such a hurry to get things fixed up before catching my bus, I just lost my head!

Hi Sally, Lovely arrangement, so brave and bold to cut the stems short, Love it!
If I had Candee's Dahlias thats just what I'd do with them......snip snip snip!!!

Terri, the short round roses and nasturtiums are precious. I love that look. I hope I remember to plant Nast. here soon. You have to plant them in the fall here. I can't get enough of that spicey rose scent! Great photos.

london England, United Kingdom

Thank you Sally. I do like the red and orange combo.
The nasturtiums seeded themselves from last year, they have gone crazy and have covered the path!
I'm not going to cut them back yet, they are about the only thing left flowering. LoL!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Well now Terri that doesn't even look real? I know it is, but those colors are awesome! How did you do that?

South, TX

Nasturtiums grow very well in Baker. Ca. where I used to live. The seeded every year. I had TONS! My mom grew them every year in a big planter box and she picked them for me and I would take them to my teachers! I remember how she wrapped a wet paper towel around them. I loved the smell. So I have great memories of the flower. I MUST plant them very soon. Our winter is great, rarely gets too cold.

london England, United Kingdom

Thanks Candee, glad you like it. On this picture it shows some of the oasis above the container.
The design is a simple 'all round' which means the stems are all cut the same length.

Hi sally, have you planted them yet? lol! They are precious memories.

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Oh Terri, you really have to get that over to the new cafe. Sue is wanting reds and some black and ultra mod and that is exactly it!

South, TX

No, I will plant them soon though.

london England, United Kingdom

Ok Candee, I take it over there!

Sally. Have you planted them yet????
You have some fabulous modern arrangements in the underwater thread, they would be perfect for our new look moden cafe hint hint!!!!

South, TX

No Terri. I will get seeds this weekend. Halloween is a good time to do it.

london England, United Kingdom

Have a nice weekend Sally. Do you open the door to trick or treaters?

South, TX
