Retaliation feedback

Can something be done about a person leaving retaliation feedback?

I think all you can do is post a rebuttal. I know it's not fun to have that bad comment out there about you, but if you've got a lot of other positive feedback it's usually pretty obvious who was really the "bad actor" in that particular feedback (just like on Watchdog there are always a few people who leave bad comments about a company but it's obvious both from the tone of their feedback and the company's rebuttal that it was the person leaving the feedback who was being unreasonable.) I don't think you could typically get feedback removed unless it's clear that the person meant to leave the feedback for someone else but accidentally put it under your name instead.

I'm sorry you had that happen, but I agree... scrolling down through the comments quickly makes the truth of the situation obvious.

I took a look and in this case you might be able to ask admin to remove both sets of feedback (the one you gave her also), because this is about a trade that didn't happen on either side. I don't think feedback is meant to cover situations where somebody essentially says, hey, want to trade? and the other person says, no thanks!

if that's what has to be done, then I 'll pass, cause I thnk her feedback was deserved, and should be kept in place for future trading purposes. folks should know the hard time that was given because I refused to trade. if both feedbacks would be removed, i'd rather hers be left in place as well. but THIS IS WRONG! Daves garden should not allow retaliation feedback .
who ever it makes look bad, it's still wrong.
But What ever............

Heck even ebay no longer tollerates retaliation feedback.

I really am sorry that someone who has been a member for only two weeks
would post anything so hostile, especially since the trade did not occur. Posting
feedback at all thus seems inappropriate other than an excuse to vent.

I've just completed a smooth and very friendly transaction with Kathy and will promptly
post positive feedback the minute my package arrives.

Kathy, we can remove this feedback, since it's for something that didn't happen.

But if we remove hers, it removes your rebuttal, too - and it sounds like you'd rather take your lumps and let others be warned.

We can't pre-screen and censor unpleasant feedback; it would be unfair to all--and it's not how you want your admin team spending their time ;o)

But if feedback is in regards to a non-event (such as this example), we will remove it if we are notified.

i've had time to think about this, and if you could, remove the feedback I left her and what she left me. since it wsn't actually a trade. She may have just mistook my no thanks anyway. It could have been the way I said it. I haven't a clue. She 's new and now maybe she'll know that's not the way to act when someone says no thanks. "Maybe"

I appreciate it.

kathy_ann, the grace you've shown is a great example for all of us. It is sometimes difficult to look past people's insults and take the higher road for their benefit and ours. Kudos to you!
