Tils - I may have some Iris you would be interested in. I THINK they're "Jesse's Song", but I will need to look that one up in the files. The real files, not the brain files....LOL
Maybe a picture - back in a sec....

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

OK how about this one:

I'll look for another shot - this one is not good with the writing on it...

I would love it, I don't have Jessie's song. I know someone has posted it before, either you or carla, can't remember. And I did put it on a lists of wants.
Thank you

I had lots of plicatas when I started collecting Iris, and given most of them away.
My 2 dogs are hard on them, so I have to plant them out of harm's way & where tails won't whack them. Because I have so few places like that, I have fewer Iris, and very happy to share!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I know the tail wacking, and the Kitty push overs. Think goodness only one dog has a tail.
I never really got into irises until I got some from Pixs and Heidi, and saw Carlas and got some from her. Then the co-op then the cat. And And OMy and thats only them.
Still have a list a mile long of all the new plants I have fallen for from everyone on PNW, and want to add to them. I have the room, just not enough of the time I would like to have to do it, so I will collect them when I can. LOL

^_^ well tills save some of that room! I am planting 200+ Iris this week. By my estimates, I will need to dig these up to divide in about 3 years when I move up there! lol! will have plenty to share :) specially since mom and sis are filling their iris beds now ....

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

You to are to funny LOL, Duet comes out red and white, then gets bigger turning into a round ball hard to tell front from back.

This is my pride and joy. I am a Tigger nut and this is the closest I can find. Almost lost him this year.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

lol, my puppy had surgery 2 weeks ago...so I've been busy spoiling him rotten :)

I have same dahlias that mom has (I kept one of each and planted two of each in her yard) so maybe next year, or the following year :)

I wont be planting anymore dahlias here...will wait til I get to WA to add more to my collection :)

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

So how long now till you get here?
I will save you some.
Are you going to bring all your plants to?

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

yep... packing up all but the trees! lol! some I will just split next year and plant at sis or moms, then split from them when I get there :)

but bringin all 200 iris and 300 tulips and daffs... all the glads, dahlias, roses etc.

I'll just leave the seeded stuff to come back each year for whoever buys our place! LOL!

I'll be up there June 2011 .... I HOPE! Maybe sooner if this economy doesnt bounce quick!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I don't see a change in that coming soon, where are you looking to move to?
I know someone who is selling.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

really? what area and how much? we were looking at the peninsula...but may move closer to mom and sis depending on real estate and what the market is here when we sell :( right now that market is NOT good :(

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Not in that area, more north.
Will D-mail You.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

thx

Beautiful dahlias, as usual. Love 'duet' and the orange one Anjl posted. I still have them blooming, too. Here's one I love, but the name escapes me. Probably is on a small tag underneath all the foliage.

Hey, Pix. Are those little pink blossoms persicaria? Do you know the name of it?

They are, kathy, and they are the ones I got from heidi. Took awhile for them to get established, but they are doing great now.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Mine, too. Actually, I set down the pot and the plant grew and rooted all around it. Then I cut out the pot and will bring it to the Green Elephant. I thought it could be a travelling pot - one new owner each year.

I can't find my picture of it, but the "stand" of persicaria went from nothing in the pot this spring to a 3 x 3 area that has totally filled it. It's gorgeous!!

I've had trouble establishing it underneath the beauty bush where I had planned to grow it for pink color late in the season. It likes water, so I thought putting it there would keep it a little bit well behaved because it doesn't get much water there in the summer unless I water it myself. I got just a few pieces to root in, even though i watered like crazy. Probably it will do more over the fall/winter with all the rains and hopefully next spring will be nicely established.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

It likes food, too. Mine "volunteered" in the bed I'd set the pot in, which is being designed for the roses, so it's full of chicken manure and compost. I think that might help explain the size it grew to. But it surely is beautiful - sort like insta-shrub!!

When I cut a bit of it back, I had stem "joints" with roots coming out everywhere. It may end up doing a little too well here; we'll see.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Is this what you two are talking about? I got this from Heidi.

Makshi, I have had Pooh for a few years, a gift from a friend. Almost lost him this year. This is a pic from last year.

Thumbnail by tillysrat

Yep, that's the one. Mine is still going strong and is about 4 feet high now. Great with pink dahlias!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Then how come mine is so big?
