Now I'll go and lay all of my babies on their sides and hope for the best. Get what seeds that I may have. They have started closing schools in the area. I know that most people think that I am being silly because this is just a tropical storm, no ways as bad as Gustav (Bless those people there). But I live inland and just not acustom to this sort of storm.
Emma, Becky, you might be getting a box before fall. LOL They are calling for tropical force winds, so there is no telling what I might find in the morning.
Oh Becky, grow bags are used instead of pots. They are wonderful. I have all of my JMG and brugs in them. They come in all sizes and are most affordable. I really love them.

Please be safe, all of you that has to brave these storms. Thinking about you and your gardens....
Elsa
Meag - Good luck with Hanna! I don't think she is going to build up into anything major, so ...You should be fine, but watch out for flash flooding! (That will be what you need to watch for, so don't take any chances crossing rising waters!!!) We are getting the outskirts of her right now and I have to go to work. Drat! I want so badly to go outside and play! It's great! Love the cooler overcast skies, the rain, and the wind! My kinda weather! LOL! I've lived in Florida most of my life and love it here! Even the hurricanes I don't usually have a problem with, but we do worry about the "big" one coming ashore. Luckily, the Bahamas often break up the hurricanes a little for us which helps to downgrade them to a lower category or back into a tropical storm! :-)
You blooms are awesome, awesome, awesome! Love them all!!! Truly beautiful! Laying them on their side is probably the best idea. Do share a link with me about the grow bags. I'm really interested. Be safe. You are in my thoughts and prayers today and tomorrow as the storm moves your way. {{{hugs}}}
Lovely MGs, everyone - hope the storm fizzles - be safe
Thanks Ron for the ID . . .
Melanie -
Do you have a garage or shed you can put your MGs?
If not you might try bunching them together, lay them over and tie them down that way.
I too am inland, but we still can get some very high wind and rains from the hurricanes.
Your blooms are fabulous as usual.
Really do like your Rose Silk Blizzard.

isn't Akatsuki no Umi.
To me it looks like China Doll
Here is Akatsuki no Umi

Take care and be safe . . .

Meag, your morning glories are gorgeous! I may have a few of those too, wating for them to bloom.
Helena
Beautiful flowers Melanie. I had a flower last year like yours here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5510580
May I inquire where you got yours? I never had an ID for mine
Ronnie . . .
MORE Fantastic blooms.
What is this one?
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5512681
The Light Variegated leaves are unusual and so pretty.
Joseph has certainly come up with some winners hasn't he!
The Blue MG from him is awesome.
Emma
Ronnie, The light blue is a beauty with the variegation. Love the
Count Drac too.
Thanks Emma, it got ID as Aogakiyama. The seeds were light and it is extremely variegated!!
Oh Thank You Jackie!
Ronnie - I too like this one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5512681 Beautiful vine - love those variegated leaves and those pretty blue blooms! That's a winner!!! All your vines and the blooms look great!
I am curious ... do the Gray Fog blooms look lavender to you or are they gray? Pink throats, right?
Thanks Ron!
Becky, The blooms looked more gray to me. The cool night we had might
have affected the color somewhat. I'll send a few more as it blooms.
The throat was pink.
Jackie - I would love to see more photos of your Gray Fog.
I also hope you get lots of seeds of the pretty blue blooming vine I noted about your photo above. When I grew Kohkan, the leaves were very variegated like this one you are currently growing. But as the vine grew, I noticed the lighter color variegation was less pronounced, though the variegation continued.
Me too Ronnie . . .
I will be your gardener for a week for seeds of some of your Aogakiyama.
Emma
Too much fun!
We can have a party!
Emma
Becky, the Gray Fog is mine but the beautiful blue is Ronnie's.
LOL! Oops, sorry Jackie - I saw the bloom photos and then skimmed again as I was posting. LOL! I guess I was looking at the photos and not who posted them! LOL!
So I think I got it now! Jackie has Gray Fog and Ronnie has the sky blue MGs! lol

You guys are funny, come on over I have lots of weeds!! I'll keep a check on the seeds...
Thank you Emma and Ron for the corrections!
You are very welcome, Melanie . . .
Emma
Most mysterious - Meag has me down as sending her Hatsu Arashi although, if so, it would have been long ago - but I've never grown Hattie Bell or anything like it. Very intriguing offspring. It looks like, if the Hatsu Arashi Gordon pictured is what I sent him this year, that that one did come true.
