Susan - the string of pearl lookalike is a Codonanthe, probably devosiana 'Paula'. As for the other one, maybe Gloxinia (was Kohlikeria) erionoides? Photos of both up above on this thread ^_^ I would love a little piece of the Dice Dots Kohleria. Once things calm down here, I'll find something to send you. The cuttings I got earlier this year should be ready by now.
Spider - I am still a member of GHA but no, I don't have any seeds listed there despite my best intentions to do some hybridizing. I haven't had time to do much of anything plants-wise this year :(
Ki,
Ok don't mean to sound stupid but do you mean a rhizomes or a piece of the plant? I have the name of the one with the long blooms... Don't worry about sending me anything but if you let me know I will ship this coming weekend ...
Susan

Wonderful pictures Gail! They sure do make me smile.
Hi Amy,
Ki told me the eucodonia are real easy to grow and just need alittle more humidity.Your plant is so cute.I was "window" shopping and ran into these at Pats pets. But there plants not just rhizomes.

Gail: Pat's Pets is listed in Garden Watchdog: http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/4234/ I've never bought anything from there but do remember visiting her site in the past.
Lin, I made a big list to order from her but now I am nervous and am not going to order anything. She has great plants but the catalog hasn't been changed since 2006 and Rain told me she called them last year several times and they never returned the call. I don't have the disposition for that.................I have the disease of 'instant gratification' (LOL)
Amy sent me some cuttings about two months ago and look what I found this morning......Eumorpha White in bloom.........
For anyone who wants a copy, I've scanned the list & order form for Steven's Plant Shop . . . if you'd like for me to send it to you, please dmail me w/your email address.
Syru, is this an av/strep shop? I have never heard of him.
Spider07 - Steven's Plant Shop is a mail order business he runs out of his home. I stopped by there (after calling) last week. . . Gail had emailed me a newsletter from the LSAVC, and his advertisement was one in the back - AND he was local! Gail had mentioned to me that she had seen his plants at a show/convention, but that she hadn't seen any blooms(?) . . . anyway . . . he has mostly AV's, but he did have a section of episcia's . . . according to his price list: leaves are $1.50 each (or 24 for $24.00), plants are $5.00, and episcia stolons are $3.00 . . . shipping doesn't seem outrageous, either.
I looked in the back of one of my AVSA magazines - either the July/August 2008, or it could be the March/April 2008 - and his advertisement was there, too.
