I thought we might be able to make it through the rest of the month on Part 2, but it's already over 160 posts, so here's a new one to finish out the last few days of this month. That just means we have to post a lot of pictures to fill it up! LOL
This is a bloom of Eucodonia. Don't know the species, or if there's a cultivar, but it's beautiful!
Forgot to post that we're coming from here - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/890952/

August Blooms Part 3
Rain,
What pretty picture and I love the butterfly one... I am going to post a few pictures of my kohleria's that are in bloom and also a few episcias that are in bowls and wanted to know if anyone thought I should put them in more dirt higher in the bowl?
Thanks and the first one is Ans Kohleria Dice Dots
Oh, what great blooming beauties!
Rain: I love that Eucodonia ... I was thinking about ordering seed from the Gesneriad Society awhile back but never did! That sure is pretty! Love Strep Cassandra ... that's another one I had that didn't last long! Neat Butterfly!
SuzyQ: You are really becoming a Gessie Queen! Look at all those beauties you are growing! I have K. Manchu that I got in trade recently from Cedarnest! I can't wait for it to grow up, I'm hoping someday to see those pretty flowers! That Peppermint Brocade is absolutely gorgeous! I love Pink and that foliage is sooo pretty! You are doing so good with your plants ... keep up the good work!
Oh, Showtime is pretty too. That one with the green leaves (Pink Panther) looks like one I have calledBlue Heaven. Here's Pink Panther: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/55235/

Oh my ... that last one with the light colored pink/white/green foliage is gorgeous too! Love the colors in that one!
Lin,
You may be right as I have one that looks like the Pink Panther one so I may have mixup the tags...
Hugs,
Sue
The second pink/green one is called Pink Dreams.

Oh Susan, That first Plumie is so beautiful. Looks like the colors of a creamsickle ice cream bar! Are the flowers fragrant?
Mine have not bloomed this year ... I should feed them!

Oooh, very nice Syru! That Cotton Candy is really pretty and I LOVE the color of that foliage on Silver Skies. Are your "worms" Kohleria worms? Or Achimenes? I think I remember Susan talking about Kohleria's on another thread. Can't wait to see the progress of your little babies! Yes, I can see the lil' green sprout!
Sorry - they were Kohleria worms! She said in her note she didn't know which was which, so it will be a suprise!
Hi, what a bunch of lovely flowers. I love the Episcias, especialy Silver Skies and Cotton Candy.
I have to post and show you all what I have been up to. I have been taking photos but I am so exhausted this evening. I will do it tomorrow.
Thank you everyone for posting such beauties.
Is Keyring still around? I haven't seen her.
Keyring pops in every once in awhile!
What timing! I'm here once in a while to see what everyone's up to. It's really nice to see so many gessie fans.
I've been too busy lately to do anything planty, but the old bug is back and it's taking a LOT of willpower not to go plant shopping!
Beautiful flowers everyone. I'm just too busy looking at all the beautiful flowers to post after each one. They are all so beautiful. If I have to choose one, it would be the one with the varigated pink, white and green leaves. I can enjoy the varigated leaves until they flower.
Keep posting girls. I love them all.
I'm glad I checked in and found the new August bloom thread! I had to use dial up for awhile today while the power was out and what a pain! LOL
The pictures are gorgeous and I especially enjoyed your Plumerias Susan, do they smell as pretty as they look?
I have a new bloom on something Keyring sent to me too, it was a new plant for me and I like it's small delicate blooms! Gloxinia Erinoides
~Brenda
This is episcia Teddy Bear that I grew from a leaf. Va Wild Rose / Karen had said she had grown an episcia from leaf (last summer) instead of planting a stolon and so I gave it a try!
It is the best episcia for shape, fullness and yet compactness that I've ever had ...... maybe because it grew right here in these conditions of mine from the very beginning??
~Brenda
i got a tea pot
i want to put my africon violets in it will it grow there?
elle
Somehow I missed this whole thread. There is not a picture on this thread that isn't beautiful! I love the blooms on everything!
Brenda, I always like to start episcias from stolons. It works better for me, too, to start them at my house. That Gloxinia erinoides is the exact plant I wont best in class with last year. You can take cuttings and keep adding them to a pot pan or bulb pan. I think I had 7 in one flat pot.........I love that plant.
Susan, don't you dare let your plumerias die! (LOL) They are too nice plus you are passing me up in growing.......
Let me see if I can take a picture of the very first bloom on a hanging basket of codanthes devosiana 'Paula'.......she is a tiny bloom. When I get names mixed up, be sure and correct me, please!
Elle, I grew a miniature trailer with a wick in a pretty porcelain small cup
