Hi all I need a bit of help please

Howdy, I need a bit of help. I made my mom an account and can not for the life of me remember her password. 2nd problem is the email I used is her aol email, aol wont allow dg mail. I have paid for 2 months sub for her and would like for her to be able to use her dg account. I did make her a yahoo email. I have dmailed support 2 times now and have gotten nothing back from them Please help she would like to get to know everyone. Tomorrow is her birthday and I would like for her to have this account by then.

How did you dmail support? The best way is to use the contact us link that's at the bottom of every page, I expect if that's what you did you should hear something by tomorrow if not sooner. The admins are the only ones who can help you on this unless you happen to be logged in as her on a computer somewhere, if that's the case then you can go into "my info" and "preferences" and see the password yourself. But you have to already be logged in to do that.

yes i did the contact us and i did it last week and again saturday.
I can not log onto her account

What a pickle! I hope this gets resolved in time. Does she know she is getting it or is it a surprise?

yes she knows she is getting the account but not that i got her a sub. if she likes it I will get her a full year. I am sure she will love it. As I do.

I'm surprised you haven't heard back then--could be there've been a ton of problems/bugs reported recently that they're trying to catch up on but are a little behind. But the other possibility is that you really didn't send the message. When you type your message in, at first you only have an button that says preview, then once you preview it if you've filled in all the necessary fields then a send button will show up, and you click that and it'll send it. Half the time when I'm using that link, the first time I'll forget to choose a question type, and then it'll just keep taking me to the preview screen over and over again and the send button never shows up until I go back and choose what type of question I had, so I could see if you weren't paying close attention it might seem like you sent your message when really you didn't. To check if it got sent, go into your dmail, if it was sent then the message should show up in there, you'll see your subject line, and in the recipient column it'll say admin.

Hmmm - no message.

Have you been trying to contact us by sending dmails to the username "admin"?

If so, that's why we've never gotten your messages, including anything you sent between last night and this morning.

"Admin" is not an actual username or account. You can reply to a message that came from "Admin" (our helpdesk), but you can't start a note to us via dmail that way.

nope I am using the contact us link and then I used the one you gave me last night. Then I chose the heading can not log in or something like that, I type my message and then I hit preview and then i check it and hit submit. Ok maybe you can contact me? would you be able to transfer the 2 month sub if I just made her a new name?

Actually I think we may have discovered a snag in our helpdesk queue, thanks to this thread. I've flagged it for Dave's attention and hopefully he can get it fixed in a jiffy or two. I will send the login information to your mom's AOL account.

Please tell her to look for it in her inbox (or her junk mail) if it's not in her inbox.

It hasn't been rejected by AOL, so I've done all I can to get it to her email address ;o)
