knslwilliams, Thanks for the Banty poem, says it just right.

All 4 of my young bantys are beginning to color up to look just like Daddy Roo, he is mostly black with overlay of tannish white feather on back and tail. My little flock is pretty much free range, and don't do too much damage in the garden. I am sure they keep the bug population down to compensate.
