I certainly will.
Stones, rocks, boulders and erratics 2
Nance, that place looks fun. You got some good pictures there. I don't know what that wild plant is either, but it's interesting. That's the kind of places I like hiking to.
Karen
beautiful country, Victor. Have a great time!
Martha
Thanks, Martha!
Sheesh!
I have to get out more!
I love all of the rock photos and the stories that they tell.
Love the enteance way, like to have that for my garden! Don't want much do I?
We think that it was a garden entry.
Now that Irish Potato is one big rock, Victor! Love the entryway also, and the stone wall with all that beautiful moss. Very nice!
Karen
What a great day for a hike!
I too, want that entryway with moss, please.
nice shots Victor... you certainly had a good day for it
Thanks. It really was beautiful.
really liked the wall shots. was it dry stack or w/concrete - i'm thinking conrete based on the moss on top although i could not make any out.
ok maybe i use my extra stone on building up the wall around the vegy garden
Not sure Bill. The arch stone was mortared but I did not look closely at the wall. Based on other walls in the park, I would guess dry.
Very nice, Victor! I want that stone entrance too!!! Is that an Irish-Italian-American standing in front of that potato????? LOL
No - he's my friend and hike leader. His last name is Smith and traces his family in America back to the early 1700's!
Thanks, Louise. There is nothing to show scale there, but that boulder is about ten feet high and 15 feet wide.
Please come with me to this new thread: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/904231/ This one is becoming slow. Show us anything you'd like in the realm of stones and rocks - large or small!
It was worth seeing twice!
Awwww, Dave......way to make me feel better! How nice! Thanks!!
