Stones, rocks, boulders and erratics 2
Too funny, Bill. I do that all the time. I see a comment somewhere and then I can't remember which thread it was on if I want to go back. Enjoyed the pics though.
Hee hee, Bill. Been working on those rocks too much!
very funny - working from home today and on a conference call with 7 windows open on the PC and lost track of which thread i was on. guess i should have been paying attention to work:)
Ya think? :)
We won't tell, Bill.
Here are some shots from a hike my DH and I took a couple weeks ago to a place he used to hang out at as a kid. He hasn't been back in many years but he said it hasn't changed.
He calls this place the 'Horse pound' based on local lore of it being used by the indians to catch horses. Don't know if there is any truth to that or not.
pretty lichens
Very nice, Nance! Thanks for posting. Any horse ghosts?
Neigh.
Way to be the straightman this time Victor. Good one Nance! I'm still laughing.
Neat campsite. How far back did you hike?
Nice shots Nance and good come back!!
I couldn't resist.
Jan - It was about a 1/2 mile to the campsite. Amazing that it is that close to civilization.
Good one Nance. I have to do the setting up sometimes too!
Thanks for that. I'm so glad I didn't drop the ball.
Or the stone.
Excellent comeback Nance!! I really like the rock wall and the caves.
Is that in CT, Nance? I assume that's your hubby in the photo?
Yes, that's "my guy" (can't believe I just used that stupid line) and this place is in CT. It's on private property so I won't say any more...
That is her hubby, and he's as nice as Nance is!
What a great place to explore, Nance! I love those caves - especially the one with Bill in the picture. That thing looks awesome!
"Neigh"........LOL! Good one!
Louise - it is. I wish we could camp there now. What an experience that would be.
Celeste - right back at ya!
Reminds me that hiking season is near! I'll be going with my group next week for our first fall one.
Is the destination planned yet?
Probably, but I am not aware of it yet. Most hikes are nearby in Harriman, Bear Mt. areas.
Sounds like fun, Victor. Enjoy and keep an eye out for good rocks to photograph for this thread! LOL
