Sally: It's great to see your little "Chipper" again too! Such a cutie, posing for the camera! You do an Amazing job with your photo's!
In Big Trouble!
Thank you Lin. I sincerely hope I will see him, again. I know he will be in heaven, I just hope that I make it!!! :0)
I imagine sometimes that when I meet him again, he'll turn out to not be a dog, but be an angel that was just sent here for a time, to help me along through some important hurdles in my life. He always seemed like more than just a "dog" to me.
Here is a much nicer picture of him, in his prime :0)
He was a lot like Fifi...just two little pounds, and always stepping into the photo, lol...It will be a year in September, and I still get choked up at the mention or thought of him.
WOW, Lin, that was an interesting dream.
Seedpicker, it is really sad when we lose our sweet furkids. I cannot bear to even have photos of them out. I have them in photo books etc, but I get so sad to see them.
We are lucky to have them in our lives, so precious. They never live long enough.
Oh, I hope no one gets upset with me posting that link. I enjoy watching that every so often, it makes me cry but makes me happy too because I do think we will be reunited with our loved ones some day, including the furry ones! I have passed that link along quite a few times to friends and family who have lost loving pets. When one of our cats died two years ago we received a card from the Vet's office staff and that poem was included in the card. My husband and I have lost so many pets over the years, my Mom used to refer to our backyard as our Pet Cemetery because we have quite a few of our fur babies buried out there, the oldest being one of our cats that lived to be 24 years old.
Seed: "Willie" certainly was a handsome little guy. I am amazed at the expressions you catch on your fur kids! In my opinion, some animals are very intuitive! I think when they are truly loved and cared for, that bond is there!
Thank you very much for that link Lin.
I can't imagine my life without Spider. I had a little beloved canary that died and I never recovered from losing him. I still have dreams about him and wake up crying.
I love Wilster. Just a big character (and good taste and clothes!)
It is a lovely dream about your mum and Bear. I bet it was more than just a normal dream...
I love Chipper. He is just out of this world. I am going to take some photos of my birds and post them.
Talking about birds, where is MrsC?
Yes, it was much more than just a "normal" dream. It was just so vivid, they were walking away from me, not looking at me but looking down the road ahead. I was watching them walking away. Even the next day and for a few days after I wondered if I really had that dream! My Mom has been gone 3 1/2 years but that dream is still so vivid in my memory today. It was a happy dream!
Lin-
maybe it is just a thing about yorkies? They are very expressive, and my vet was convinced Willie knew every word I said to him.
In this picture I was telling him how pretty he was and that I loved him. He has a beaming grin. I took several shots in a row, and it is more obvious if you see the other pictures beside this one, but this is one of the few of him, that doesn't make me sad. Seeing him smile and look at me that way, always makes me smile :0)
Hi Lin,
You are so sweet and thoughtful. I totally believe in those dreams. My dear mil passed away in '00 and she came to me in a dream a couple of years ago where she walked up to me and gave me the biggest hug. I woke up feeling so good, so loved and special that she had come to me in a dream. She looked wonderful too! I like to think that God gives up those special comfort moments to hold onto, for just that reason. He's thoughtful too!!
Love,
Laura
Well, the strangest thing happened to me about three months ago.
I was running on my treadmill and suddenly I "saw" my brother in law (my husband's twin) side by side with his mum, my MIL who died about 10 years ago.
I felt a big pressure in my chest and I could not breathe well. I just wanted to cry. It lasted about 1 minute then went away. That night I found out that my brother in law had had a brain aneurysm and his heart had stopped at precisely 4pm, the time I felt that.
That Will is the cutest little flower ever. What a precious little critter!!!
Laura-
what a wonderful dream :0)
Spider-
I've had a few events like that, and they are something you'll never forget!! You must have been either really connected to them, or divinely priveleged with that information.
Bonnie-how cute! I can see why your Shitzu could be quite jealous right now. Just be careful to make it a point to share the attention between the two. I've seen jealous pets try to kill the newcomer.
My little Wilster once killed an entire box of baby chicks that I'd just gotten overnighted in the mail one Spring. I opened the box, and the instructions said to fill a shallow lid with water, first thing. So, I fussed and baby talked to them for a second, then went to fill a lid. Not 60 seconds later, I came back to them with my lid of water, and my Wilster(who I thought was just "guarding them"),had carefully and precisely bit each ones neck. Not even a drop of blood, just one simple bite, ...times twelve :0(
Even the four I have now, can get into it, if I show one more attention than the others...usually it is Fifi, and then she gets "ganged up on" and they show their jealous disapproval.
So, I guess you are keeping your plants up high?...at that age, they eat everything they can get ahold of...lol...:0)
yes i do keep an eye on her, we do make sure they both get plenty of attention, jake still is not so thrilled with her, as wants whatever he has, lol, oh well just have to be careful.
mrsbonnie
congratulations on your new baby :0)
Wow, Spider, how strange that you got that feeling....
Bonnie, what a sweet baby. I also LOVE your Tzu. I love Shih Tzu's very much. They are wonderful. Usually, very calm and easy.
yes Sally, i agree with you, they have always been a favorite of mine. this is my 3rd one.
mrsbonnie
I have had a Llasa, a Cocker Spaniel, a poodle and now my Shih Tzu. They were ALLLLL precious, but I will always have Tzu's from now on. They were all quiet and sweet though. I love training Trudy and she LOVES to learn new things. Wish I could show you the video of her playing her piano. I think it is great to teach them and not let them get bored, ha. Trudy keeps me on my toes finding new things to show her.
What?!? Trudy playing the piano?!?! That is soooo lovely! LOL!!!
Mrs Bonnie, please send Sugar a kiss from me!
What a great idea, to keep her mentally active :0)

Yes, doggies can get bored, they need to take daily walks and learn new things. Just like us!

mrsbonnie
T, I remember that picture of Willie in his purple outfit...so cute! But I had never seen the one of him smiling at you...so precious. It is so hard to let them go. As you know, my Willie, the Sheltie died unexpectedly about 3 years ago. He is buried in the backyard and the other day, I swear I saw him reflected in the sliding glass door. I just thought, Oh, there's Willie and didn't think anything about it til I remembered he is gone. I'm not the type that "sees" things but he was there. Maybe because we just moved back to this house and he was saying hi?
MrsBonnie, your new little girl is adorable. Jake will grow to love her I'm sure. My Ziggy wasn't happy with our new boy, Mugsy but now they are best friends.
Here is my Willie, he was always the perfect gentleman:
Rosetyme, your sheltie was gorgeous, I am so sorry you lost him... I think they visit us... I sure hope I am reunited with my pets in heaven.
Karen-
I don't think I'll ever forget that your husband heard Willie's name called out loud, as if by an angel doing roll call...it is a very comforting thought :0)
Rosethyme, i am so sorry about Willie. He was a gorgeous boy.
Thanks everybody. Yes Willie was very special....just like T's Willie. He used to go with her everywhere...he had his own special little carrier. I know our pets will be waiting when our time comes. For some of us there might be quite a crowd. :)
