I can never find this thread http://davesgarden.com/faq/forums/#172 when I'm looking for it without going back to the post where Terry told me about it. It seems to be a fairly critical thread for new users. Could it be placed as a sticky in Dave's Garden FAQ forum?

Which thread is it that you're talking about? If you don't know where it is maybe if you could describe what was in it, that might jog someone else's memory and they can find it and post a link here for you.

Zhinu: Do you mean you would like to have this Dave's Garden thread as a sticky? I guess I am a bit confused as to what you are asking.

If it is this particular thread that you have trouble finding you can add it to your favorites and have it show up on your home page.


edited to say: Actually I have it as one of my "watched" threads and it shows up on my home page with others that I am watching which are my favorites.

Zhinu; This FAQ is readily accessible from The FAQ button. I don't see how a sticky would help. FAQ are available from every forum, whereas a sticky is usually limited to a specific forum.

I'd never noticed the FAQ button. I still think Dave's Garden FAQ is a good place to put it, even if it is there at the top. I think a lot of beginners ignore everything but the forums until they get more comfortable, but most of them probably at least look at Dave's Garden FAQ thread. There has also been enough questions answered in that deal that for whatever reason people aren't finding it.

Zhinu: I had totally lost that too! I remember someone pointing us in the direction on a thread over a year ago but couldn't remember where it was.

I've never paid any attention to the FAQ link at the top of each page! LOL. Thank you Farmerdill for making me look!
