Are the dark foliage ones dahlias, Andy?

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Yes, Victor. The short ones on the right are 'Redskin' and the taller are 'Bishops Children'. The BCs are just starting to bloom, they get to 5+ feet.

Beautiful blooms all! I agree with you on that vine Schickenlady. They grow too well here and I get rid of all that I see.

Victor, Berry's silver grow's at a rate of about .5" /year. Tolerates everything but sun all day. they (Little Red Barn nursery) have 6 or 7 more of them that were a hair larger and 12.95. They do have a some (maybe 9 or 10) other varieties of dwarf conifers....seems like most of them were chamaecyparis. I remember seeing Chamaecyparis l. "treasure" but I don't remember the specifics of the others. If you're really interested, send me a dmail with your phone or cell phone and I'll call or text with the names or even cell pictures if you want. they had about a flat left of the raoula, but they usually have stuff "in back" hiding until they run out in front.

Stolen Treasure & Cat Dancer rock, Pixie! And the other lilies are beauties, too--as well as the other photos! Cool pods on the butterfly weed, Dyane. Also love the cana lily---my asters also have icky ankles, except for the species, like black stem aster. Too wet to take photos right now, but here is an old DL I grew from seed many years ago.

So Victor and David, do you think that if I were to post that plant over on the Australia forum that we might be able to find out a little more about it?

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

actually, it's native to new zealand. Hmmm....

Craryville, NY

Beautiful pics today everyone! I stand amazed....and humbled. In a couple yearfs when we have managed to reclaim more of our edge areas, perhaps our gardens will look as amazing! Blessings and peace...

The most interesting plant in my yard bloomed last week but I was too busy with my mom visiting to post it.

So here it is, my little ghost plant that comes up every year (it no longer spooks me ;))

So many interesting plants here today. Great stuff everyone.
Indian Pipe very cool indeed.
The noid seeds from Bill that look like a string of deep pink pompoms also very cool. If you find name don't forget to clue us in okay. How do you not have any weeds out there? With the lack of rain they seem to be the things that are thriving here the most and I admit it has been too darn muggy to make much of a dent in them. A beautiful garden and in your spare time gorgeous rock walls.

ngram - i have weeds trust me - i try to keep them at bay - spent and hour weeding a bed today that was over grown and tomorrow i'll do the same to another - with all the rain it has been hard to keep up - maybe i'm only posting pic's that have no weeds:)

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Wha, your garden is immaculate. All neat and tidy.
I filled a wheelbarrow with prunings, weeds and passed volunteer cleome and malva from the front of the house today. Then I filled another one from the berry garden. I need the lawn mower in that one, lol.
