**SWEET INTERRUPTION** 10

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Getting some nice soft rain! Not enough, but it cooled it off, 72* now!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hello ladies!
Not a very friendly day out there! Steaming hot and will be like this for the next few days. Give us that 72 weather Audrey.
Kel has mounted a sprinkler on a hand truck and all I have to do is change its location every 30 minutes. Only have to hand water the pots on the back porch.
Sure is nice...

I'll share!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeap, that is right Jaye. Next year you can celebrate the 30 anniversary of your 24th--works every time. Sure glad I was with the GDs today as this would have been my 48th wedding anniversary. Made it so much easier to cope with. Besides I got a really good introduction to Fairies by a Barbie Mermaidamia DVD. Cute Fairies in it and got the old wheels turning.

Gotta find me a Biffel for sure!!

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

What's a Biffel?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

A funny, fluffy, fabulously blue poof ball in the Fairy movie.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Stacey your plants are lovely.

If you have an abundance of that lavender malva, I would surely like some seeds from it!

Joey in Conroe, TX(Zone 8b)

So a Biffel is like a Fairy Tribble?? Maybe they dislike Trolls instead of Klingons (LOL yes I'm a closet geek)

I'm glad you had your granddaughters there with you today to help you keep your memories happy today!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeap, a Biffel is a Fairy Tribble. I was also a closet geek until I watched the movie today. The 5 yo was explaining it to her Grandma and the 3yo was chiming in every now and then with "Are you seious?". What a duo!!!

Yes, they have made it a very nice day from what I have had in the past 2 years. We even talked about Pepum and was laughing. Always good.

Waving back Bon, don't overdo it, please. Can't join us with sore hands that can't type, now can you?

it's 99 out there - I keep needing water, abbisgranma, and a sit down for a bit. the clay is so darn hard, I can't get a fork in it, hardly a shovel in it., next planting, more compost!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh I can relate to the clay bit. There are areas in my yard you can't dig in--have broken 2 shovels trying. Calling in the big guns now--someone to dig it for me!!

Just take care, please
Marion

Ooo.. I've been battleing clay patches since we moved in here... I ended up last year, when I dug two new beds, just digging up the clay and replacing it with good soil. Of course, we dug it out right after a drenching rain, which helped.
I didn't do that with the first bed I planted here... and this fall I'm taking everything out of that bed, replacing the dirt, and replanting it with something different... most of those plants were just needing a home till I had a better place to put them anyway.

Marion, granddaughters can be an education in themselves, can't they? That's what I need, more grand babies to inspire me.... NAH... not going to happen.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

A little to much education at times. LOL The 3yo is in a league all her own--has the quickest comeback I have ever heard for a 3 yo. It's either "Are you serious?" or "you gotta be joking". Hears from Mom and Dad.

Thank goodness I don't have a large area of clay to deal with but just enough to make it rough. Tomorrow should be a great day to dig as we had/are having rain since 3 this afternoon. Don't guess I will get to dig as I told DIL I would keep the girls again tomorrow. DS is out of town and I hate for her to take off work. Either of them for that matter but with him gone, it is a little rougher for her taking off. Hope that makes sense.

How are you doing?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You are a very good daughter, mother and grandma, Marion. You just returned from quite a task, looking after your mum, hardly rested and now full force, babysitting your grandkids. Wonder woman!!
I am sure your grandkids will emulate you. One lead by example, and children learn faster from watching and hearing.
I'd love to listen to their conversations! Too young and too cute!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jaye, please I am sure anyone on here has done that and more. I thank you for the kind words but we are all good daughters, wives, mothers and grandma --that's what bonds us as well as gardening.

I would love to share more of the 3 yo conversation but this just isn't the place. Boy, she was chatty today for sure!!! Let's just say her Mom feel down and she has a very descriptive tale about it!!

Are you taking care of yourself? We can't have any of you Sistas getting sick now can we? I do worry about all of you. Gonna miss Linda 1 when she starts back to work too.
What's Flamingo Kim up to lately?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Come on over to the new page, Marion. My dial up ain't too friendly with this!
