Not this old person... I don't get up till I have to, even as late as 10:00 sometime... of course, I do like to wait up for Don most of the time... and he doesn't get home till after midnight usually... although he does get up at the crack of dawn too.. I just need more sleep.
This auntie is just lazy, I guess.

You are right about me Stacey. I try to get up before the sun rises. But on Saturdays, this body gets up around 8, just in time for my Samurai shows on IFC. Sundays...it all depends on Kel.
Hope all of you have a relaxing weekend.

I am working, then have to get my car washed, get more acrylic water, get some mattings, come back to work to pay my employees, go home, do laundry, do dishes, clean bathrooms, do some painting and putwater in Audrey's pond.....then tomorrow I am up early to get some rose bushes yanked out while it is only 85* out:) It will be about 95* tomorrow w/ like 80% humidity, so gotta get what I can done by 11am or it ain't getting done!!

I'm going to sleep late, Sunday... you've done wore me out thinking about it.

Supposed to be in the high 100s too. Deborah, I hear you GF about dragging hoses in the heat! Still I must water the plants at least 2x a day when it's scorching hot.. and today I pray for some relief! Once that watering system is set in place, boy, that will be the best present ever!!
There's a new Indian restaurant that opens at the beach, so we are looking forward to do something different this afternoon. A little shopping to garner some ideas for your swap BJ. Oh yeah, also for Linda Kay's CIJ. Pretty soon for the names to be given...any of my sistahs will be appreciated (hint..hint)
Last night I dreamt of floating jars...wires..and beads... Was that a premonition of what I'll be doing the next few days..hmmm...

Dolly's eggs are gone... I'm so upset...
Don just came in to tell me that there's egg shells all over the ground, and Dolly is nowhere to be seen. I know she was sitting on her nest last night just before dark. And this morning they're all gone.
WAHHHH...

BJ, so sorry, hon. I know how disappointed you are. But she'll be ready to laid another clutch. Wonder if Don could build a floating duck box/house?

You're exactly right, but floating duck box nests are so much safer from fox and racoons. By the way, is Dolly a mallard or a wood duck? Wood duck nest can be on a pole above the water too.

We want blooms all over the yard...oh the aches and pains that go with the territory!!

She's a mallard... but we do see a lot of duck nests on poles around the lake... and Don printed out plans to build a mighty fine one... guess that's going to be his next project...
I think he's as disappointed as I am... he's been out there looking for Dolly... like she might be in mourning somewhere needing a friend.

Hope Dolly's okay. She'd soon be hungry enough to return, I hope. Never raise ducks, don't know if they mourn. Wait a minute...stupid statement there...all mothers do right?

Well, Don left for work with a sad look on his face... we did not find Dolly... but, this is a very large lake, and she could be anywhere... I'm sure she'll be back for her front door dinner soon... I hope.

Oh no BJ:( Poor Dolly-do you think all of them are gone?? Maybe whatever it was just got 1 and she faught them off and saved her others?? I was so looking forward to some qwaking little qwousins:(

I don't know Stacey... we looked everywhere thinking that maybe she moved some of them... but if she did, she hid them well... AND there's an awful lot of egg shells on the ground, like maybe something got all or most of them... we just don't know what happened.

Poor Poor Dolly-do you have real good cranberry bread or good fancy crackers to give her?? She deserves better than the norm for the next couple days:( Find the animla w/ eggs on it's breath and stew it up!!!!

If I do find that varmint, I'll surely shoot him... wait, I don't have a gun... I'll give him a look that kills... yea, that aught to work... LOL

I can send some some nice kitchen knives and a bow & arrow....you got undies and rocks right??? Slingshot baby!!
