Uploading woes

Not sure if this is the proper place to suggest/ask about this, but I was referred here, so, here goes...

I'm trying to upload photos and post them...either 3 things is happening: The post, with the pic go wonky and all is lost, the post is posted, or it just sits there idling for well over an hour.

Can someone please help me out with this?

Not sure if this is, or was discussed somewhere else..

I'd try downsizing your photos a bit before you try uploading--especially if you have a newer digital camera that has lots of megapixel resolution, those files can be a bit large and even though DG automatically downsizes the photo once it's on here so that people with slower connections can load it, the whole entire file still has to upload from your computer and large files will make things hang up sometimes.
