Daily Pics Vol. 128
Wonderful pics guys!
Omygosh!!! beautiful
That close up of the Eagle is just awesome...so sad about his wing. I am glad that someone is caring for him!
I often try to picture the areas where you all see you birds. As most of you know, beside my yard, I walk a half mile circle that my road makes. This is photo that shows what I walk by that is so full of birds!
This is the area full of buntings and sparrows and lots of my mystery birds that are hiding in the brush! lol

Wow those are fabulous photos of the eagle and hawk, how wonderful to see them close up.
Thanks Nanny for the view! I noticed yesterday that my male cardinal is starting a molt (I believe) always such a sad sight LOL.
I organized some bird pictures today and thought I'd upload and oldie. Since it's been so icky humid, here's a picture of one of the coldest days last winter, and the puffy little Junco. Remember them????? Are they all up visiting Grasmussen now???
I love those juncos!
I always wonder what the hell they eat all winter! I wish I could feed just them, but I'd need to make some special cage but I don't think it would keep the chipmunks away. I don't see them much in winter, so maybe as long as it keeps the red squirrels out. Eh, but then the mice would get to it easily, they're small. ugh, see how complicated this gets?? :)
They just need to learn to eat from the feeders off the ground! :)
ha.... well they do pretty well here with the ground. But I know what you're saying. Last year someone suggested a kind of screen on a platform. Theirs was a leaf bag holder I think. Anyway, I put a screen on an old aluminum table frame. I had some luck with that. The juncos came up fairly freely.
Well since it's slow, here's another puff-ball.
Chippies hibernate during the winter...thank goodness!
Looks like a nice place to walk Nanny!
Mrs. Ed...I am ready for winter and to have the winter birds return! Those are lovely shots!
Those are nice shots Mrs Ed!
Aluminum screen is a good idea. will have to bolt down the feeder though or the squirrels will take it with them (yes, that has happened before with feeders I've left on the deck meaning to clean out but still had a bit of food in them...luckily they don't get too far with them, only halfway to the woods, whew!).
And any bird that is puffed out is the cutest. Just adorable.
It sounds quiet outside. Must be time to fill up the feeders....again!
Oh my Nanny, That girl is so sad!!
I'm not ready for winter yet!!! Don't rush it! It will be interesting to see what the fall migration holds for me. This is the first year I've fed year 'round. I was happy to see so many new ones in the spring migration.
Nanny what a nice place for a walk, reminds me of the country road I lived on as a child.
Mrs-Ed wonderful Junco and Chickadee pic. Will be nice to see the Juncos again soon.
Here's a new one, that Claypa and Resin ID for me.
This is the American Redstart Warbler, they came to my Birch tree for a feast of sting bugs.
Nice shots burn! Congrats on the new bird!
(immature Goldfinch?)
I'd say adult female American Goldfinch.
Resin
Nice pics adel and nanny!
Incredible photos as always folks. I'm going to start a new thread since this one is getting lengthy.
