Beautiful pics knif!
Are the ones on the feeder Chaffinch and Blue Tits?
Daily Pics Vol. 128
Yes Pell, I also saw nuthatches but couldn't get a decent photo. Unfortunately the hide was full of noisy children which spoiled the experience for my sister and I. She had binoculars with her so that was great!
Burn: Never seen a baby Cowbird before. Very cute!
Can't resist. She is a bird, and she's my very first chicken. I know she isn't a wild bird, but I was watching her a lot tonight, because we just got her! So that does count as bird watching, right? :-) I'm so excited. She's a Partridge Rock, and her name is Dame Henny Penny of Halifax Hen Manor.
Claire
just know it was big!
Maybe American Crow?

She's pretty Claire!
Wonderful photos everyone. Gorgeous girl you've got there, Claire. They make lovely pets.
Burn, your shot of the female purple finch is so picturesque. What a lovely setting.
Knip, I love the woodpecker and the Sanderlings (?) on the shore.
Rose, stunning birds, stunning shots, as always :)
Tiger, I love the little warbler having a bath at the creek.
Pied Oyster-catcher at Fremantle Harbour.
So beautiful Margaret!
Thanks, Pelle. Hey, you must get up with the birds.
It has to either a crow or TV I presume. I kept waiting for it to change postions so I could see it better.
Great pic of the oyster catcher, Margaret. What striking colouration!
I like the quail, adelbertcat. They look very contented there.
Here's a Rose Breasted Grosbeak checking out the dining options. Taken from inside, through the deck, so sorry for the iffy quality.
I'm excited to say that the Grosbeaks brought their kids here (at least 2 different pair), and I've been seeing either a lot of females or both females and young ones coming by. So happy they are returning, perhaps a new regular??
And I got lucky enough to capture the elusive hummingbird, which typically stays for less than 20 seconds and zooms off. I have ocassionally seen a hummer at the globe thistle and monarda I've got near the feeder, so I'm happy to see those plants are working. Not too much interest in the lobelia from what I can tell. And was surprised at the globe thistle (the white one at least), didn't expect that.
My guess would be...female Brownheaded Cowbird!
Yep, Brown-headed Cowbird
Resin
Cool, thanks! I love seeing new birds passing through.
Great birds evis, Love the Rose-breasted Grosbeak, I've only seen the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak a few times here. Nice shot of your Hairy Woodpecker.
Nanny , I want your Blue Jays. They never came this year. Don't know where they went. Well my Goldfinches and Warbler showed up today. Was happy to see them.
Thanks Margaret, Nice orange on your Pied Oyster Catcher.
American Goldfinch
