Crows have been very active (and noisy) in our yard recently.

Very cool shots Deb! Thanks for starting the new thread!

Tiller, OR(Zone 8a)

Wow! My PC was down so long I'll play heck trying to catch up, but I've enjoyed what I have seen.

I finally got a fairly decent shot of the Western Tanager. You've got to be ready when these guys show up!

Beautiful tiger!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

wow, what a beautiful bird. I never get to see those!

Tiller, OR(Zone 8a)

The Lazuli Bunting is coming just a tad closer, but not close enough, darn.

A couple nights ago my son used my camera at the local pow wow, and it was late when he got back so he took the camera into his trailer. Next morning this (I think) juvenile Green Heron landed just outside my kitchen while I was outside. Evan was still sleeping and I was sure the bird would fly away while I came in to get the keys and went to his trailer for the camera. I got lucky...........

The little Black-throated Gray Warbler's are still coming around, but the creek is way down and they always bathe when I have to look straight down at them.

This Great Blue Heron must be a young one, 'cause it allowed me to get fairly close.

Tiger, just love your black throat gray warbler and herons.
Methodical, great Vulture pic.
Great start Deb to the new thread.
Thanks all of you,
Margaret, lol, I tried, unfortunately I wasn't able to build my fall, as big as the one we have here, I didn't have the big rock I needed for it.
Here's a link to the one we have that carry it's name. We see some occasional ducks and sea gulls there. I attract the smaller birds to mine. :)

Great pics everybody!
My SE went to the Delaware River today for some fishing. He brought back this pic of Egrets to share.
He is starting to be an avid birdwatcher! (oh no two in one house!) GM

Cooper's Hawk (graciously ID'd by Resin for me) in the back yard. Wish the pic could have been clearer, but I took it through the breakfast room window, through the screened porch. First bird of prey I've seen here and OH! was he a beauty!!

The smoke has been extra thick the last few days (lousy light conditions). The Goldfinch have started showing up in greater numbers.

Oh right, I assumed they were turnstones as I'd seen those on that beach before.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

am afraid that my days of summer birds are dwindling fast. It is strangely quiet outside this morning. I haven't seen a thrasher for 3 days. Only a couple of orioles at the buffet table today and 1 catbird.

Not hearing as many towhees or Indigo Buntings either. :(

Lovely! Looks quite similar to our great blue herons. Hard to get an exact idea of its size. Might be bigger than ours.

Marlton, NJ

I know what you mean nanny but there are some birds I'm looking forward to seeing in the Fall and Winter.

Love the Heron knif!

Cramlington, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Lots of birds at the feeder.
