Pictures from this year
Totally awesome show man.
Lava flow gets me everytime I see it bloom.
Mine or anyone elses.
Hey Dete, The Aztec Gold you gave me had a rough start (I would too if I was shipped fro Fl to Yuma) but is looking good now.
I think I found a source for a few Sings and hope to get them soon.
I just found two more Sing trees tonight, in a neighborhood my niece lives in. My girlfriend, who isn't as interested in these plants half as much as I am, was amazed at how beautiful the trees were...and so was I. The leaves were a beautiful dark green, not a spot of burn on them. They were full of flowers. Its an amazing variety, to take the heat here and thrive. It, in my opinion, is the best variety for all around performance here in Yuma or Desert area.
Thanks Michael...Lava Flow is a keeper...even with the virus.
Davie
that is awesome! post pics when you can plz...
Enjoyed the photos. They are awesome! Thanks for sharing
Totally awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Laura
Great pictures you have to be very proud! I know I would. With your heat the seedlings have to take right off perfect growing condtions. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the compliments Plumeria G and Laura.
Hi Dana...Yes I am very proud, thank you, and you are correct...they germinate pretty quickly in this heat.
Davie
I am enjoying your photos Davie, but I have one problem with them...I WANT THEM ALL!
Weegy thank you for the kind compliment, I will be listing some of the above at Daves over the next few weeks if you are interested.
Davie
Sorry, Weegy, you can't have that unknown red! LOL Oh, yeah, AND the Penang Peach and Fruit Salad and the unknown pink and...
OK Davie, we'll watch for your list. :-)
I've had quite a bit of nubs on my seedlings but don't give up on it completely because I've seen nubs turn into inflo's as they begin to branch.
By the way, you're getting five branches there!
I know I know Hetty and Clare...more branches more blooms, but I was so excited when I first saw what I thought was an inflo...but dissappointed when it nubbed. Just have to wait a little longer.
Done...and done...unless it gets another set of flowers.
I just had one of mine do that nubbing thing thought something was wrong. It was the first time this plant was going to flower too. But its worth it for all those branches your getting would like to see that one later to see how they form.
I have three Muang Jacks...all three have nubbed instead of flowered, and the worst part is that they did not branch either.
Beautiful pictures, Davie. I had no idea that a nub could still become an inflo until I saw it happen on one of my seedlings last summer. I wish I had taken a picture of it. It grew off of the side of the nub and eventually bloomed. It's rare, but it does happen. Otherwise, I agree that nubs are disappointing.
I will post some pics as it branches Dana.
I love Flames of the Sun... gorgeous...
Brittany
Thanks Brittany
davie your collections continues to amaze me! keep up the good work. soon yuma will the the plumie capital of the southwest.
i had the nubs into inflos happen a frew times this summer....
Don't know about that Dete...But I do find more and more people growing plumeria here...and I wasn't the first one by far (as you saw by the size of some of the trees you saw when you were here), I find older trees here everyday. In fact I just cut two, half dead, 9 foot tall, multi branched trees, out of the yard of an abandoned house today...poor trees were left to die...someone had to save them.
davie - are you taking pics of these trees mang???
I would if they were in any condition to be photographed. The trees I cut down had seen way better days. Someone got there before me and cut down the really large/healthy trees in the yard. I am I hoping to save bits of them though.
Take those leaves off, Davie^_^ You can cut them off with scissors for less sap spillage. That will help them not to get dehydrated as there is still water loss from the attached leaves. Beautiful GS!
I feel your pain!
