Thanks Bubba! If you have a few vegetable seeds for this fall/spring, that would be great too. Maybe I'll have to take DH home a plate so he'll want to come next year.

Names: Charlene Houseman and Nancy Smith
Mel Babb. Just me and my plants to swap.
I'm new to the site and have to figure out where to post my list. I've put it on http://the-garden-fence.com/viewtopic.php?t=15&sid=85f174f0dc5671e507985e89487fb3ac but I think I need to put it on Dave's Garden someplace. Can anyone send me the link?
Thanks
Oh, boy a whole day around garden people!

Can't wait to see ya here! We're starting a wee early just to beat heat, but folks show up all day long...
Rj
Two in party. Sounds like fun.
Don't know if we'll be able to stay for the lunch so maybe don't count us in for the brisket. My friend is a vegetarian anyway.
Larry,
Welcome to our social/plant swap. You will meet some wonderful ppl here.
Also welcome to anyone else who is new to this. Randy is a great host and I can't say enough about all the rest including Wayne whom I met last year. I have never met a finer group of ppl than here at DG.
We haven't been able to find a babysitter, so the bunnies are coming with is. So make our entry:
Marylyn, Charles, Joy, and Katie Peklenk
Marylyn_TX 4 in party
And I'll be bringing bunny snacks, too, in case anyone gets a hankering for peanut butter crackers or fruit punch. LOL
Randy--
I think I may be able to make this one as I have some things to handle down in town that day. Since I can never make it anywhere before noon it seems, I think it will at least be 6:00ish or later. Is this going to be OK? I'll bring something, probably from Spec's.
Someone wants me to bring them some seeds and I need to go to Southwest Fertilizer (I think that's the name of the place--over there by Bubba's Place) and run by a friends house not far from you later to spend the evening.
Debbie
I can bring bulbs if someone needs something--and wants to save shipping.
edited to add--does anyone know what time Buchanan's closes on Saturday's?

Hey, all, just a heads up. I've been sick the last few days (Fred and I both came down with something nasty on Wednesday), but I am feeling a little better today. As long as I still am feeling better tomorrow, I'm planning on coming. Randy, if that changes, I'll give you a call in the morning. Otherwise, I will be there!
Carter.
Okay Carter- you can buzz in anytime of the day tomorrow and be fine.
Randy--is after 6 too late?
Y'all have a rooty tooty good time...."eyes" will be there in spirit...
"eyes"
dmj - I'm sure Randy is running around like a chicken with his head cut off. We went well after 6:00 last year so, I'll just speak up and say, yes.....I'm certain Randy would say yes. That's about the time the wine tasting started anyway.
Charlene (charlenesplants) had to go out of town for a family emergency, so she won't be there tomorrow.
LOL...thanks Kristi...bockbockbockbock...
yes...actually of all the times I would attend..6pm would be the time!
Oh...forgot to mention my mom won't be coming so it'll just be me!
not sure I will be able to make it. I have woke up with a horrible migraine and it is not budging. Sorry as I will miss seeing all of you. If I can make it later I will.
Sandy ^8^
Thank you Randy for compiling this list at the beginning of the thread. You made it very easy to label the photos we took today.
I started a Photo Thread. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/882237/ for a slide show.
Please post any photos you took in that thread.
Thanks,
Janet

y'all are welcome to join us
Thank you Randy, Wayne and all the others for a fun plant swap. I had to leave early but really enjoyed the time I was there, meeting all the members, seeing Randy's and Wayne's wonderful gardens. I will know how to bring plants and what to expect next time. Thanks again.
Ann
Thanks everyone for a great party. And a special thanks to Randy for allowing us to "trash" his house once again. LOL.
Great slide show - will have tto come back to it to see everything several times.
Sorry to miss seeing you and your DH, Linda. But is was a treat to see Sandy even if it was early evening.
We surprised the staff at Bubba's when we brought in the "leftover" short ribs - lasted all of 5 minutes. One of our regulars asked us to put it on the menu - ha ha. Told him I would give him the cooking instructions.
I had a great time seeing everyone and meeting all the new folks. The company was wonderful, the food was wonderful and all of the plants were too. Wish I could have stayed longer! Thank again, Randy, for being such a wonderful host. Brian too!
Kristi, we definately let too much time lapse in between visits..we must make effort to rendezvous more. We're always hanging out on the deck weekend evenings, so give call when your in the neighborhood. (I loved your Mom!)
I'll give you a shout when I'm out that way - usually on the way to Caldwells.
I'd like to echo everyone else here with a huge thank you to all...especially our hosts! I had a wonderful time! And Randy...your place is gorgeous. A little tropical paradise all your own! And Wayne...thanks so much for showing us around and for the doorprizes. It was so good to see everyone again!
:) Kim
Absolutely, Randy. I'm out that way more and more these days so, an evening on the deck sounds incredible. You guys just made us all feel so welcome and comfortable, Mom and Mema both. Mom loved you too, BTW. This did her good to get out and have some fun.
I enjoyed the comany of everyone! Such a pleasure.
I soooooooooooooooooooooooooo hate I missed you guys! Foot surgery Friday, and had to keep my foot in the air. Standing too long and it started throbbing. Arrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh! But I'm glad to see ya'll in the pics, and I KNOW you had a blast. Now, Randy -- were there ANY brownies left?!!!!
I'd like to add a big thank you to Randy for putting on this do. The folks, food and garden were all wonderful. Randy, you have quite a garden. I'm sorry I didn'g get to see it at night time. I bet it's magical!! Brian, you are a hoot. You made me feel very welcome. Janet and Connie, your slide show was great. It really helped me to put faces and names together. Nice to meet my neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Bubba...
What a wonderful bunch of plantie people !! I so enjoyed myself. Thank you ,Sharon, you were a blessing, she saw me arriving and came out to help me unload, that was so nice. And Caren, you are great and so much fun to be around. Bubba and Bubbette and Smock and Smockette ,,, haha, loved all of you.
Lou, I enjoyed our conversation so much. Kim, Kristi, james,Mike,Tabitha and Gema-- Woooo---
what a day !!! And then there's Wayne,,, felt like I had know him all my life. I have been to other plant swaps BUT NOT LIKE THIS ONE. Also, never had wine at a swap either.!!
It really makes a difference to know what someone looks like when reading the notes being posted. Can't say enough about the fun day. Loved it. I wrote Randy earlier and thanked him, also.
jana
I'm so pleased you guys enjoyed it. We are seeing the obvious reasons for calling it a swap and social, and having it at someones house- it's a heck of lot of fun! Relaxing, chatting, idea exchanges and people like to hang out...not just take off! This is the second year of having the swap, and it seems like it may turn into an anual event!
you got my vote for that !
I'll third that too!
So is that July 18th or 25th, 2009???
Y'all the greatest!
Such a great way to spend the day. If I'd known a group photo was going to be taken, I would have stayed, instead of sneaking off in the afternoon for a siesta. I did come back to see the garden lights and got lots of ideas. Now to find a way to execute (not electrocute) them.
Randy, thanks so much for opening your wonderfully jungly home. And Wayne, thanks for the trip to your green houses. So many plants I still don't have and lust after!!
Hope all or you got your new plantlings settled in.
Mel
I dmailed a couple of you, but was trying to remember who said they would like to join us at Circle S for the Pasta Night Dinner next week.
Of course, anyone can come, but it is limited to 20 couples a night - prepaid. www.circlesvineyards.com
YAAAAAAAY FOR THE ANNUAL EVENT!!!
STILL missing my brownie!!!
Linda
And we missed your wonderful greens, too!!
