thank you Carrie
Onewish 1............Need one more pix and perhaps a few words. Bring the Paul Harvey act into play. The rest of the story. I need to see the pot attachment arrangement fronm the other side of the post. Please :) Great job. Really like your entry I rank as one of the finest posted that I have seen.

i love that purple petunia too..... what's the tiny white flower in your first post?
onewish they are bacopa I planted myself from seed! They turned out great!!!
I'll look for Bacopa next season.
I love it.
I love mixing bacopa in - in almost all my pots - I love the dainty white flowers - so pretty!
thank you.... will have to put that one on my list... very pretty
ge what a pretty pot! I love the coleus mixed in! Looks pretty!
how big is that pot with the canna Ge?.... I just thought they needed more space so i would never thought to put them in a container
holy cow that is a LOT of containers.... How long does it take you to water and I hope you are on a well......
Thanks for sharing, might pretty to look at them all.
Janet
Dawn, what are the little purple flowers in your second container? I love them!
Hey Allison, I must have been really tired when I was there not to notice all those pots!!!!!!!!! Looks wonderful!
it was early Jen.... understandable....
we are on public water... but our bill isn't really that bad... it's controlled by our town and we pay quarterly... the bill goes up once you hit the next bracket... we don't really see much difference in summer maybe one bracket
time spent... well that can take a while my guess about an hour or so.... I usually deadhead while I water... it's my nightly therapy.....when it gets real nasty out I can run the sprinklers and do the grass & most of the containers at the same time in the morning ... so at least i can get a break when it doesn't rain enough... even if i run the sprinklers in the morning I will still water the bloom masters with a watering can in the evening... takes a lot of water to run through them
no matter what I love them because they grow soooo much nicer than the stuff I put in the ground... my dirt is terrible or what little bit the plants can grab through the rocks
:)
If you could figure out a way to get a hook up down to the lake..... :)
Yes I would say that is time well spent. When I started Hort.Sch the most enjoyable for me was potting up and watering in the greenhouses. Because of this joy when I go to the stores and see that the plants need water it just kills me. DH says it is most likely cheaper for the store to let the plants die than to pay someone to water them.... If only the stores knew, I would gladly come water in exchange for plants....LOL
Enjoy your watering.
Just lovely containers.

all of them do have the polymer water crystals ... something I didn't mention before... I think that's why those huge pots stay so lush
I have about 18 containers to water everyother day, takes about half hour.
Cannas are in pots that measure from 14" to 24"
I keep the Canna pots watered everyday, they love water.
I'm not thrilled with the blooms comming on so late and will plant Cannas again next year but buy the varieties with attractive leaves so there is something going on from June thru frost.
I fill the containers to within about 2" so when I water the pots get a good deep drink.
Carrie - the purple flowers are a type of lobelia - that is all I can tell you - I bought it at Canadian Tire.
Bev - I love that color of orange, or salmon, whatever you call it, in the first picture! Very nice.
Dawn, Canadian Tire???? I guess I should shop there more often!
Everybody, beautiful container combinations!!!!
OMG these are really nice. So many containers. Great combos and lots of ideas to copy.
Hahaha yeah Carrie I guess you wouldn't have a Canadian Tire - it is something like Home Depot but on a way smaller scale - sorry LOL!
My stacking pots are doing very well. My source was NJ Supply Ltd. Can now say the twenty four inch pots feed water down nicely and draw water up as advertised. The twelve inch smaller ones still need almost daily watering no matter what the advertisement claims. Because they dry out faster due to overplanting which we all do they have none to send down except when being watered. They do not pull up water nearly as good as the larger pots. In all fairness they might work if they were not rootbound and suffed to fair the well. I will not show them again until they peak with their contents that followed the removal of all those onions. The main show is in the making for the center ring of my plant circus in about three weeks. There are thirty pots in those two stacks. Whew!
Very pretty DF....
aaaawwwwww Jen I feel like the proud mama
Garden Posts 21 isn't working so I'll post todays pics here.
New trellis ,there are two bigger, wider ones back ordered til Sept.they will go on either side of the small one on the left.
Smith Hawken ,I was going to make some from Maple saplings but remembered the last ones I made dried up and fell apart after two years so I went for Boque bucks and got these.
Noticed the thumbnail didn't copy.
How can we fix this. I'm not THAT computer savvy
After the FIX I posted on Garden Photos 21.

can't copy and paste photos... but i can't see your pic
Yeah, Allison, you can - if she posted in elsewhere on the site, view it full-sized, right click "save image as" ... save it as something on your computer, then you can post it.
Back up a bit. I was in error when I said the cannas were in 24 inch pots.
I wasn't sure so I measured-------__ all my large containers are 18 inches.
These are the two on the front porch, one is in full bloom almost
I see the dreaded DG cropper is at it again sorry
The picture looks OK now the preview looked cropped.
