Natural Disaster Bad News Queries/Support ok?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I just read the sticky about not posting about current events. I recently started a few threads about the midwest flooding that is happening. Is that ok? Just wanted to check on and give support to members who were involved. Sorry if that was a no-no.

It's definitely ok to check on members like you did, dahlianut. :-) You'd only cross the lines if you started one about something like how the floods are being handled and whether it could have done a better way, etc etc.. (Being vague on purpose as not to start any such conversations! ^_^) Compassion and caring are always welcome here.

We actually started a forum today for our members affected by the flooding: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/08midwestfloods/all/

What a wonderful thing to do. DG sure is a caring place. Thanks Terry.

Looked at the list of people, and said posted on another thread, how do we know which ones they posted on?

You don't know, unless it was a thread they started in which case you can find it by going to their member page and clicking on the link to threads they've started. I'm sure someone who hangs out on the same forums as them saw them post somewhere and reported it it to whoever's keeping track of things on those threads.
