Journal entries from Plant Files question

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

I'm fairly new to DG, and just tried the Journal feature for the first time today. I loaded all my entries from the Plant Files, and then edited to add Status, Location, Initial Comment, etc.. When I went back to "View" each journal entry, the majority have a nice link at the bottom of the page (This plant is in the PlantFiles!) to the Plant File in the PDB - makes it real easy to re-look at the PDB for reference :-) However, a few entries that I loaded directly from the Plant Files don't (examples: Anemone Serenade, Fern Ghost, Dicentra King of Hearts, and Cranesbill Rozanne). Do you know why? Thanks, terri

I didn't realize there was a DG Journals and Diaries Discussion Forum until after I posted here. I guess that forum is more appropriate for my question - I'm still learning :-) I came across a post from ecrane3 that explained it - there's a bug that the link back to PF won't get made if the plant in PF has a genus and cultivar, but no species name. I checked all my entries - all entries with species had the link and all entries without didn't. Any estimate on timeframe for fixing this bug? Thanks, terri

Yes, that is a fix I am still waiting on! I think it's on Dave's to-do list, at least I hope it is. As ecrane posted on another thread addressing this:

Quoting:
There is a bug though in the adding from Plant Files--if the plant does not have a species name listed (as is the case with a number of hybrid cultivars) then even if you add it through Plant Files it won't create the link.

I'm sure it's on Dave's list...but I suspect his list is pretty long at the moment with getting the new Marketplace going, and I know that'll take priority over fixing this (especially if this is one of those things that seems like it should be simple to us non-computer folks, but in reality is actually hard to find & fix)
