Glad you figured that one out! How would I know? No, I do think he is a boy. I am always getting little things like that from my niece. Then again, I am the aunt who spoils her when she comes each year!!!

LOL I'll be sure to takeStaynot to visit the Jackalope. They are a rare native Texas creature, I do believe they are extinct or nearly extinct in the wild, with the only remaining individuals residing in local Ice Houses LOL

Wow, I've never seen a train of thought this long on Dave's, although I haven't been around that long. I just need Staynot to arrive by the 2nd or 3rd of July so I can snap a couple pics and send him along quick, I don't know how well gnomes get along on Montana, but I have lots of mountain hiking to do and I don't know how well he will be able to keep up. I have to leave Portland on July 4th so if you think he won't arrive before then, maybe he can come see Portland later in the summer. I would hate for him to be stuck in one of those darned teleportation boxes on my porch for three weeks, then gnome lovers everywhere would track me down and hunt me like a dog to the ends of the earth, doesn't sound fun, my dog is reading this over my shoulder and he doesn't think it very funny either, so that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. So let me know if he'll arrive in time or not and we'll make other arrangements. Thanks y'all, let me know.
P.S. I've personally observed an active population of jackalopes in the Bob Marshall wilderness in Montana and I'm going there to study them for a PBS special. They are the little heard of Northern Alpine Jackalope; maybe Staynot could come along and take some pop shots at them with his "Gnome 30-30" or maybe not.
Are those the ones that live with the sasquatch slipperman? I heard about that flock.
Don't let him shoot the Jackalopes, I"m not sure gnomes would do well in jail! They are protected you know.

Depending on when Staynot gets to me, he may get to visit the Crescent City! I'm going to drop off the kids for a week with Grandma and Poppy. I promise not to let him drink too many Hand Grenades at Razoo's LOL
This is Hartwig...who is very lonely and can't wait to meet Staynot. Hartwig never gets to go anywhere, so he wants to talk to a well-travelled gnome.
He mainly hangs out in the tree and watches the comings and goings.
He loves flowers and has a nice bloom to give Staynot when he arrives.
Hartwig looks like he very content with his beaatiful garden. Is that a nasturtium in that first pic? It's lovely, mine are just plain orange. I thought they were prety till i saw that one LOL
He is happy but mad that I didn't take him to Hawaii with me. Next time I will. That is some kind of nastertium I got at the nursery.

LOL did you bring him a grass skirt? That is an awesome nasturtium, if you ever get any extra seeds, I would love to have a couple. I would be happy to send postage. I love the old fashioned flowers, reminds me of my Nanny's garden.

LOL you know when I was at the thrift store they had a little wooden box, that was a lot like a suitcase. I almost got it for Staynot's travelcase, so we could put little stickers all over ti from his travels. But it was a bit heavy, and didn't want the postage for him to go over the top. Wonder if I could make one from cardboard?
