Food for the RU - June 28th

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Looking foward to next weekend... I have been cleaning up and I am afraid the weeds are winning!!!! lol... goodness gracious it's bad...

got to play with flowers today.. oh there will be some roses left... I believe all the Palatine and Pickering roses I got this past April will be opening... tons of pinks, oranges... clematis are almost done... and some irises maybe... oh I can't believe how much everything has grown... so nice...

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Don't worry Kass. If you still have weeds by the time we get there, there won't be any by the time we leave. We're gardeners, remember?

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

oh I got a sign that says Free weeds Pick your own!!!! lol!!!!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I love that sign, Kassia. I'll have to find one of those!!
What fun!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

That's very cool, Kassia!

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Kassia, don't forget I said I'd bring some antipasto.

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

I'm bringing Mom's "Hummingbird Cake". It's a big hit when she makes it for our church & it would disappear when I used to bring one to the office.
All I know is that it has coconut & bananas. I don't like coconut so I've never had it. LOL!
I think she's making 2 of them.

I'm also bringing a bunch of buckets.

I hope there's room in the car for me!

Hi Kassia!
Just found this thread--I noticed that there aren't any cookies on the menu as yet, so could I supply some? Maybe my double-chocolate chip recipe? Then folks can take some home if need be.
Thanks,
Emily

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Excellent! Emily can bring the American Chocolate Chip Cookies and I will bring the Anglo-Canadian Oatmeal Raisin cookies!
