Looking foward to next weekend... I have been cleaning up and I am afraid the weeds are winning!!!! lol... goodness gracious it's bad...

Food for the RU - June 28th
Don't worry Kass. If you still have weeds by the time we get there, there won't be any by the time we leave. We're gardeners, remember?
oh I got a sign that says Free weeds Pick your own!!!! lol!!!!
I love that sign, Kassia. I'll have to find one of those!!
What fun!
That's very cool, Kassia!
Kassia, don't forget I said I'd bring some antipasto.
I'm bringing Mom's "Hummingbird Cake". It's a big hit when she makes it for our church & it would disappear when I used to bring one to the office.
All I know is that it has coconut & bananas. I don't like coconut so I've never had it. LOL!
I think she's making 2 of them.
I'm also bringing a bunch of buckets.
I hope there's room in the car for me!
Nancy
Hi Kassia!
Just found this thread--I noticed that there aren't any cookies on the menu as yet, so could I supply some? Maybe my double-chocolate chip recipe? Then folks can take some home if need be.
Thanks,
Emily
Excellent! Emily can bring the American Chocolate Chip Cookies and I will bring the Anglo-Canadian Oatmeal Raisin cookies!
LOL LOL LOL I'll bring a hungry American tummy, in that case! (And vegetable dip with fresh dill.)
thanks everyone... less than a week now... did a lot of work today... at least 1/2 of the weeds are gone and my helper will come all this week to finish and it should all look nice saturday... really cool!!!
I'm trying to come up with something that will travel well, how about a watermelon???
Yes, please suggest something i can buy, not cook, that is still needed. What categories do you need things in?
nibbles
entrees
sides
desserts
Amy, you pick... look at the list and help me out... I am not very good in terms of food... well, I love to eat... but not so good as a meal planner...
thanks...
guys, remember...less than a week!!!!! so excited to see all of you...
Mmm, mmm, mmmmm!! It all sounds so fun and delicious! Amy, I don't think there is a WRONG thing to bring! This is one case where more is definitely more, LOL.
Kassia, you are such a doll to do this.
--Emily
Amy how about chips and dip(something that doesn't require refrigeration)?
OK, i will bring a couple or three bags of chips, and ponder the dip possibilities.
^_^
Corn chips and salsa!!! (sorry, I couldn't help it.)
where is Andy and the strawberries??? anyone have seen him???
I was thinking about Andy and his strawberries over the weekend!
*nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more*
; )
Oh, Amy!!!!
I miss Andy!
Can't you find him at his photo website? I asked him whether he was coming this year.
I forgot about his site... I will check...
i was planning to bring chips of several kinds (from the store) including corn chips, but homemade salsa sounds great!
Nancy/gabagoo - I'm also bringing a bunch of buckets.
Are we supposed to kick them? LOL
LOL
See, Nancy, I see a stack of home-made earthboxes!
Bucket also make inpromptu seating!
I am wondering just how many brownies will be enough? I have made four dozen, but my family keeps eating them! So, maybe five dozen?
Funny!
Candyce, tell your family that these brownies are "hands off!"
Cat, good seating idea!
I am going to have to hide the cupcakes from my honey too
Candyce - are you planning to feed Kassia's neighborhood? LOL 60 brownies.....yeah, that sounds about right!
