Posting photos to article threads

Is there a reason we cannot post photos to the threads accompanying articles? I wanted to upload a photo of the damage to my baby apples for the apple article today and there's no Image option.

Can this be changed, please?

But you can...I just looked and there is a "browse" button for uploading photos...

I'm not sure why you can only upload a photo for the first post on a thread, but that's how it's set up presently. Maybe the articles and accompanying threads would take too long to load for some people if there were too many photos with them? If there's no technical reason why not, I'd love to be able to post an occasional photo as part of the post-article discussion threads.
