No creative assistance was given to this Pod Person. This is a natural photo . She has a flat top, earings and even a few mole..or shall we say sun spots. So cute!

Hey Bea. where is this most extraordinary face, in your garden or else where? Looks like flooring behind it. LOL

My Bro is watching me. and thinks its a floor.?

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Nah - it's an outside wall with a hanging basket (or basket attached to the wall).

I need to take some photo shop lessons so I can get better closeups! Bea your photos are beautiful and inspiring!

We got back home to CA today, and EVERYTHING is blooming and overgrowing in my garden! Maybe all the falling ashes are helping the soil?!

Tilly..the poppy pod guy is on the side bed of my shed. What you are seeing in the background is cedar shingles on the shed and the bottom of a hanging basket of flowers..

Bea, I love all those roses, where do you find room for all of these in your gardens? I am quickly running out of room! bought DH a rose bush for fathers day (Regans!) and I cant find space to plant it! ugh!

I was bummed that we didnt get to stop at the OR gardens. I am certain they are beautiful, but we got to Silverton area in the late afternoon and it was WAY to hot yesterday to stop ANYWHERE in OR!! Is it always that hot there?

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

I was going to take my Mom to see the Oregon gardens yesterday,
but it was so hot we stayed indoors most of the day. We are having a "heat wave" again. This is not typical weather. I would have never moved here if it was. I left the SF Bay Area to get away from the heat! Would have been nice to meet you. Next time you are up this way, let me know.
From your photo , it looks like there is room by the "peachy" colored wall. What rose did you get for your DH.? ..LOL!

Climbing Valentine would look very nice against that wall or on the arbor.

Oneanjl - so glad you're home safely. We've had a hot spell the last two days - you timed your visit just right so that you could work in decent temps. It's supposed to break tonight with a few thunderstorms - at least in the Seattle area.

Your garden looks great. Somebody did a great job watering.

Bea - I do so love your roses.

Bea - how come your plants always look like you just brought them home from the florist? Not a blemish in site. What do you do? Whisper magical instructions to them . . . dance over them at the full moon?

Lovely pictures.

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

katie..Thanks ..Believe me there are plenty of imperfections. Since I use my photo's in my business, I must get the angle that avoids the bug & slug nibbles, black spot, mildew..you name it I am sure I have it somewhere in my yard.

This is Climbing Iceberg .

Just bought this little columbine (4" pot) .Have not even planted it yet. I did not think I would see any blooms until next spring. Had a surpise and found this pretty bloom. The bloom is only about an inch long from top to tip of the tail. It's a cutie named Calimero.

Hi - If I knew how to do it, I would put some of my poppy pictures here, taken today.. Have some very unusual ones. Used a digital camera and have the pix on my computer. But they will not drag and drop or copy and paste into this message or below where it says image.
What do I do?

What is going on with this delphinium? It's growing these weird flowers and the regular trumpet like flowers. But it is HUGE! Taller than me and just starting to send out flower shoots, which are going to be a few feet tall also. And I was going to tear this out and give it away this fall, but now?

Thank you Katie59!

I've grown double poppies for several years. They reseed themselves. The colors and forms change.
Some are very very double and other only a little double or single. The colors also vary. Some are really beautiful. Yes, I know, I am a little prejudice!

Gordon!! Does the dracunculus stink yet? When do you think that will be? Do you think the bloom will last until Friday? I'm at Northgate in the evening taking care of my brother's house.

Beautiful blossoms. I say, "Keep the delphinium." You like huge plants. Maybe it knew it would have to prove itself in order to stick around.

WillieB - let's see some of those poppies.
